Well the funny thing about it is the dictator is massively suppressing the main opposition (and according to polls, the actual leading party), the Free Destourian Party, which is a direct continuation of the former Democratic Constitutional Rally party which was overthrown for itself being a dictatorship during the Arab Spring (it was in power 1956-2011).

This information could be useful on a date, Tinder opening etc.

Tunisia skipped this. They transitioned fairly peacefully once the old dictator fled.
The current guy didn't campaign on being a dictator. He just did it after being elected.
