I ask because it looks like Greece
It looks extremely nice to be honest I didn't expect a north African country to look that good

Don't take it as an insult I'm ignorant. It's just other north African countries are kinda not like that

You don't know much about north Africa or Greece apparently, Greece isn't so much better than Tunisia despite being in the EU they're on the same level of infrastructure as us and on the same level of political corruption.

If that's Tunisia, it looks lovely
The things I love most about my country are the countryside, and the old (mostly pre-Victorian) buildings

When we got our independence the first president invested heavily in education unlike the other nafris for this reason our industries are stronger, Tunisia Is the number one manufacturer of chemicals in Africa and we export to Europe and the US.
The only way for a country to become rich is industrializing.

Scottish Highlands are something else in their beauty, fun fact the Appalachian mountains and the Scottish Highlands were once part of the same mountain range back in the days of Pangea.
I personally think the English Woods have a charm like no other, it's why so many cartoons were made about the fairytales that took place in them.

We have cars but everything is so fucking expensive. What really burns me is all the wealthy tourists coming here and experiencing more of my country than I get to. Hopefully I can afford to do a proper travel around here once I finish my studies

Yeah? Tell me about it, I see tourists diving in our beautiful Mediterranean waters and boating and skydiving and going on safari and going to crazy expensive resorts and having a metric fuck ton of fun whilst the most fun I've ever had in my life in Tunisia is Playing billiard with the boys at the cafΓ©.

i love the nature. not the big national parks or anything like that. those feel like amusement parks to me. its the sheer mass of undeveloped or underdeveloped land and endless little parks and nature preserves found in endless places youve never heard of

there are whole towns where locals cant live because its all set up to get the most money from tourists. Every year american cruise ships come here and the fat elderly slobs waddle around the town and line up at the mcdonalds and other american chains. I really just hate them, none of the money goes back into the pockets of the people or the infrastructure so what is the point, they dont go to any local businesses and look at me like an animal in a zoo. Petrol is really expensive and the government dismantled the train system in the 70s so its really expensive to get from town to town

Ayayay caramba! I'm so sorry, I didn't know it was this bad, at least tourism lines the pockets of the common man with money here.

This is more fulfilling than a life of social media posturing and dick-measuring that the rich engage in. I've had the misfortune of rubbing shoulders with the rich, absolutely wretched people, most of them.

You see, dear Canuck, to claim moral superiority to rich men pertaining to what they do with their money you must at first be also rich, otherwise it's just sour grapes.
I want to make bank, and I want to travel the world, and I want to enjoy the finest things in life, not to show off and for social prestige but for the joy of it.
I will one day have money and I will go to new Zealand and I'll take the kiwi anon on the best camping trip of his life.

I'm not rich, but I'm well off. Would I like their money? Sure, if I could snap my fingers and have it. You're going to hit a wall at which you need to decide how much of psycho you want to be to get rich, as it often requires stepping on other people to do so. The amount of ways to get rich ethically is quite small. I'm quite serious, much better to enjoy the company of your friends and family than to chase the dragon of getting rich and have it eat you.

Yeah but I'm studying engineering, the people I'm competing with are fellow students currently, people from well-off backgrounds and the competition between us is based on merit, no engineer hurts anyone in society, dear Canuck, I'm not religious so I'm not all too vexed about the welfare of the whole of society, I help where I can but I won't martyr myself for them.
