http://www.pnpi.nrcki.ru/en/ was really REALLY run down and lacking resources compared to here. Outside one of the old professors was on a bench smoking a pipe and i guess he noticed me being brown so he got talking about stuff which was my fav part of the trip. I didn't know then about India-Russia relations then but he was very warm to India
Remember drinking in parks til 2am with local drunks (a couple of them got into a fight and started beating the shit out of each other) but language barrier limited convos
People say Moscow is more lively city so probably better to go there. Don't think you'll have an issue with racism just keep your smarts as in any foreign country
