Pootin's official parroting is that Ukraine can join the EU all it wants, but it can't join NATO because that's too close to them. And if you are a country called Borderlands, you should have some self-awareness on why that makes sense. Now they will entirely disappear because the west keeps sponsoring them to kill themselves, and they will still never join NATO.
