Kind of, I prefer the celtic blue from scotland's flag and many of the Irish coats of arms, and since christianity in general has become less relevant the meaning of the Irish flag isn't as big.

It really doesn't, the crest is ugly and way too busy, completely unnecessary. It was just something they made up on the spot. I wish we just went with the plain white-blue-red for even extra confusion, or better yet if the vertical version got picked

Not good not terrible. The whole idea of it is to show continuity with the kingdom of Serbia because that was our flag before communism so like all the other countries after the fall of the Berlin wall we thought it was a good idea to shove away all communist era insignia and show off how democratic we are o algo without thinking if maybe the population was actually okay with the old one. But to me its better than the communist one so it can stay plus it establishes the continuity I mentioned even though it's not remarkable

Yes, the problem is the coat of arms with Borbon heraldry.

Of course I am terribly biased towards thinking so, but the Union Flag is the most beautiful and striking ever conceived of. There is no mistaking it for anything else, no room for imitation, yet perfectly simplistic.

The Union Jack is alright. It’s a more intricate design than most while not being as gaudy as the US flag. There’s a noble, stoic quality to it but I do wonder if it’s too much.
As for St George’s Cross, I like it a lot but my favourite flag designs are the tricolour ones like France and Italy. I think I’d like it best if it was like a reverse France, there’s a refinement to their flag despite the simplicity of the design and the colours.

That's horizontal tricolour, the most popular country flag pattern. In comparison, bicolour are much rarer; especially bicolours without the red (the most popular flag colour). Thus, it does its job by being more or less recognizable.
