Honestly it’s not that crazy when you realize intersex conditions that cause infertility are 0.5 - 2%. In a preindustrial society, having “the wrong brain” wouldn’t really matter because you would still probably go along and have children with the body you got. So there’s not strong evolutionary pressure for it to go away.

Also empathy doesnt mean you have to bow to every demand. Telling someone to cut off a perfectly healthy organ is not compassionate it’s cruel. If gender dysphoria has a biological root a rational approach would be to fund research to prevent it or reduce its impact through prenatal screening, targeted drugs or other biomedical methods, rather than blindly fulfilling every activist whim. But that will never happen because it challenges the prevailing obsession with identity over reality.
