I've only ever visited Wyoming, but it seemed nice. Yellowstone and Bridger-Teton are beautiful. I remember it being very windy, which has to do with it's geography. Wyoming ranks #1 in the country in income when you take into account cost of living and taxes (price parity). Not sure what somebody would do for work outside of coal, oil, and gas though (besides obvious service jobs). Wyoming is more urbanized than you might think (62% live in urban areas), but that's likely because people live in towns instead of on farms because the soil in Wyoming isn't good (too dry and cold).
