obviously if something is outlandish it's a motive to wave the hadith aside but if the narrators are reliable and multiple narrators report the same thing then there's room for credibility
that being said, if he hadith theologists were biased or saw this as a sexual offence or blasphemy of the sort they wouldnt recount it, yet they recounted thousands of "embarrassing" hadiths for archiving and studying purposes, this wont have the effect you guys think

The issue was actually the use of Latin vs non-Latin during Mass. Bible translations were never an issue, since the Bible was translated into Latin from Greek to begin with.

I know that Evangelicans didn't start Christianity new and just wanted to return to its origins but they still wanted a translation for their own people so that the masses could understand what the bible they believe in actually means. As I said before, literacy was low and that was especially the case for latin which was the language of the clergy.
