My religious convictions have nothing to do with how white I am or where in the world my ancestors came from. God has called me through His Word and saved me by grace through faith given in Holy Baptism and nourished in Communion. I have no need to purchase merit stored in any heavenly treasury. That is why I am a Lutheran Christian, and not a member of the Roman church.

The aesthetics are fine and I admire the historical role Catholicism played in fending off the mohammedan horde (saving Europe from the madman's baal worshipping cult) and the glorious, beautiful, and righteous First Crusade. I still go to Catholic mass every now and then as I'm very ecumenical.

However... I have strong theological differences with both Catholics and Orthodox, the Protestant position is much more reasonable from my pov, and doctrinally is closer to the Primitive Church of the 1st century described in Acts and the Epistles than what came after.

No shade on them, they are still my fellow Christians, believers in the Triune God.

That said OP, you know there are "high churches" within the Protestant branch, which seems to be your inclination?

My own Church has had to change places several times in the past few years due to needing more space.

The only religion I see dying here is islam.
Diaspora either go atheist or become Christian, they also get a few secular euros who never had any interest in religion or education to convert and after 2-3 years 75% of them leave, often due to becoming very religiously inquisitive, seeing how the whole mohammedan cult is a sham, and either become Christian or atheist.

I don't care about faith at all, but I could appreciate societal benefits a religion brings. There is no difference whatsoever between the two. The only religion that would bring tangible benefits is Islam, which I will be happy to convert to once it becomes popular enough that child brides become legal again.

The reason Protestantism has dull aesthetics is because Protestant countries were more successful and it lead to Protestantism defining the modern world. Boring secular everyday Americanized life IS the Protestant aesthetic.

Catholic countries wanted to get rich too and after 150 years of unrest over anti-clericalism even the conservatives realized the church was flaky and incompetent when it came to governing and settled on pretending to pay attention on Sundays while shutting them out of most of their influence on secular life.
