Purely from a standpoint of competing with China, this is retarded. We are sacrificing the benefits of bring together skilled labor (agglomeration) by flooding our highly valuable cities with refuse that squanders the opportunity. By permanently subsidizing these criminals, our cities become less efficient at combining their skills to innovate because the talent is more diluted. Violent propensities further dilute it

So is Curtis Silwa. There's no candidate with any vision in New York. Pretty sad. This wouldn't have happened if we had Greek style city states. That's the way the west is structured when it gets shit done. We're incredibly stagnant now that we're trapped in giant governing bodies that ambitious young people cannot seize for themselves to test out their experimental ideas. Mamdani himself will probably not get to implement any of the communist ideas he wants except the ones that cause crime waves or imports more third world biomass to solidify his position. Sad. Maybe things will get better if we nuke the filibuster like Trump wants.
