Do you have a green card? If not, there isn’t any branch that will take you unfortunately (US wise as enlistment requires either citizenship or permanent residence). The French Foreign Legion is always an option, though.

In the ANG, there needs to be an open spot and they need to pick you to fill it. Also, young guys with degrees think they’re god’s gift to the Air Force. You’re not. Like half of the Air Force enlisted force has a bachelor’s degree. In the guard, like everyone has a degree because most guards offer free tuition at state schools.
In the guard, you’ll meet 16 year TIS O-1s that were formerly E-7s.

Is it impossible to commission in the guard? No, but you might have dudes in front of you that have been genuinely waiting 10 years to put on a butterbar.

Once again, yes, but there might be someone in front of you that’s been waiting 10 years for the next full-time spot to open up. AGR slots are limited, and a lot of people want them typically.

Nope! I was told by the Navy and Coast Guard that since CG is DHS, you can put in a packet because it does not affect DoD selection. I wanted to apply for the Air Force too, but Navy said I can't double dip in DoD. So it is a backdoor way to have to packets at once.

The secret clearance came after I passed meps and got a few months into the OCS process. I got interviewed by a defense counterintelligence security agency man and shortly thereafter, I was granted the clearance. After I get in, I have to complete the top secret process.

The military rarely utilizes Line of Duty Investigations. Some bitch could get completely smashed at an off post bar, get raped by a civilian, and then claim it was MST to get a mental rating. Anything short of willful misconduct can be service connected, which is a bit fucking ridiculous.

Sounds like Hemiplegia. If it's partial then it is unlikely to be more than 40%. Medical retirement is possible as the rating only needs to be 30% or higher. Medical retirement isn't a guarantee to avoid destitution though. If he has less than ~10 years, the DoD pay would probably be less than $1000 a month and a 40% VA rating doesn't pay much either.

The state guard is just an adult boy scout club. It's a volunteer unit that assists the NG during hurricanes, community events, and dedications. Yeah you do "PT" every once in a while, but it doesn't matter. For example, when Ike and Harvey blew in, they helped with giving out water, MREs, and other relief. It's good if you want to help your community moreso than most groups. Sadly they don't get paid and have no power whatsoever in protecting the state.
Our NG is the biggest and most powerful in the US. Massive opportunities and actually do shit. There are no downsides. National Guard wins by a country mile.

Nothing, I don't even see the submitted forms. I first applied for it early last year if I remember correctly. I filled out the 22-1990-EZ or whatever and like a month later it came back with no service history found, even though RIGHT FUCKING THERE ON THE SAME PAGE it says the branch I separated from and my disability rating lmao. So I called them up and asked the dude about it and he recommended filling out the 1990-EZ pdf manually and then submitting it on some other government site that a bunch of agencies use, I forgot the site. So I did that and never got a response, but I went with Pell Grants and my own money instead (which I think was a good choice actually) so I didn't call them back to ask about it until last month. The lady on the phone said they sent me a letter approving it, and I'm like uhh I didn't get anything in the mail and nothing on the VA website says it was approved. So then she says they'll resend it, but I have to fill out some other form, I think a 22-1995, because I was changing it from a bachelor's to a master's.
