>>63834188Israel & it's allies did halt retaliatory strikes. Hundreds of ballistic missiles were fired and maybe eight to ten (based on video footage) impacted (including destroying an Arab village in the north last night).
That's halting retaliatory strikes. Iran is not Israel's neighbor, it is not Syria or Iraq either, it is a regional power and the 'head' of the former Axis of Resistance. It has been a thorn in the side of the USA for decades and fought off Sadam's armies (sixth largest air force and fourth largest army in the world) which was armed with chemical weapons by the western powers (i.e. USA and UK).
They have a comparable GDP to Israel, it's less but not by a wild margin.
TLV is one of the most defended areas in earth from missile attack, with assistance from numerous batteries loaned by the USA, and missiles being shot down by Jordan, UK, and USA. *Despite* that, some got through. Because there is *no possible way* to counter every single one of them, literally coming down from outside the earth's orbit at insane speeds.
Yet missile fire is rapidly falling off (far less this night than last night) and see silos and launchers going up in smoke, and every senior scientist and military officer in Iran is KIA along with substantial infrastructural damage.
That isn't embarrassing at all. Nor could Russia do that to Ukraine, or defend itself from Ukraine in such a manner.
