Dunno but seems pretty common. Two-point slings over the left shoulder. They have these rules where reservists for example carry their rifles with them. Most people are righties and the rifle hangs on their support side. Might be more comfortable and frees up the dominant hand?

sling on the left shoulder is actually a lot more ergonomic for CQB, if you run out of ammo you can drop your rifle and it'll fall flat across your chest and free up your right hand to quickly grab a sidearm. That's what I was taught at least, always sling left in CQB (presuming a right handed user)
