Double team them. First a blast explosive to clear out the standoff stuff, then a perforator to disable its rolling gear.

Right but the issue here is that drones are by far the most common munition used to destroy vehicles. If Ukraine had a gorllion Stugna-P or RK-3 Corsar or FGM-172 SRAW or FGM-148 Javelin or MOSKIT or Pirat PPK (latter two only came out this year) then they wouldn't need to use drones. They'd just have multiple ATGM/MANPATS teams on the frontlines that just delete armoured thrusts. They use drones because they're cheap and easy.

>>64057045
I've seen claims, though no videos, of vehicles like this needing 60~ drones to disable. I call bullshit, but I'd like to see a video anyway.

>>64057051
Well if it's on a tank then the tank isn't dropping infantry off (unless infantry is ablative human armour).

If a tank looks like that then it isn't doing tank stuff like shooting.

Hey when have Russians EVER cared about aim? Literally yesterday (or day before) a Russian SU-34 dropped a FAB on a Russian position. Thankfully the bomb didn't go off. Unfortunately, a Ukrainian drone spotted it and decided to facefuck the FAB, with predictable results. Of course xaxaxaxaxa you wasted drone )))). But either way Russia often uses running tanks that either have degraded barrels or low ammo (or sometimes flat out don't put any in) as 'shield tanks'. Where their goal is just to soak up drones, rather than do any damage.

Drones have longer range than most ground-ground ATGMs, and can loiter. Meaning you can prepare a beaten zone from quite far away, with stuff in the air 10+ minutes before shit goes off.

>I've seen claims, though no videos, of vehicles like this needing 60~ drones to disable.
I think those numbers were for complete destruction, not just disabling. So they couldn't be towed back, summarily fixed, then sent out again.
There's a lot of empty air in that structure, so a critical hit is difficult to achieve.
Anonymous No.64057080 [Report]
>>64057063
Yes which is what I said. That they're cheap and easy [to use]. If they had a gorllion ATGM systems they'd be using those much more than drones because they have a much higher kill chance, see early stages of the war with NLAW and Javelin kills. Sadly they are expensive and rare and the new ones I mentioned (MOSKIT and Pirat PPK) are not in any large numbers. Poland is joint developer so maybe they'll be able to get numbers out.

At what point are armored vehicles even worth using if something as cheap as a drone is this effective against it? But I guess if this question were actually answered in good faith then Russia would just end the war and go home.
