No, most street thugs have developed an immunity to 9mm now.
I'd suggest going to at least a .454 casull if you want to stop an attacker these days.

The G26 is a great option if you carry in a "low income housing environment" where the threat profile involves the risk of being swarmed or having to get into a serious gunfight.

The default magazine capacity is only 10, which is not particularly impressive, but it can be backed up with a 32rd extended magazine. Most carry guns can't do that.

The downside is that the G26 is as wide as a G17 or G19. There are tons of modern carry guns with 10, 12, or even 15+ capacity that are also significantly slimmer which makes them more comfortable to carry and easier to properly conceal. From that perspective the G26 is starting to show it's age.

Should I replace my used 400 bucks 43 with a used 400 bucks 26.4 ? I'm not fond of the 43X at all even if I get the idea.

Bigger brain than most, although I honestly think the extra length over a 19 is better off being a comp than getting you an extra 50fps or whatever
>>64076168
Extremely strongly disagree. The 17, doesn't shoot better enough than the 19 to justify that it's over the line of legitimately having to dress around the gun to avoid meaningful levels of printing. The G26 shoots notably worse than the G19 while still being a belt gun and not concealing meaningfully better than the 19 if you wear typical clothing and have a decent holster. I feel like a G19 sized gun for belt carry and a pocket gun for when you can't belt carry or need absolute concealment is the best approach.

Yes. It's a better carry gun than the P365.
>Fatter grip for man hands to control recoil with
>INHERENTLY safe design. If all safety mechanisms failed simultaneously it would not fire. Needs the trigger pulled to the break just for aggressive slide yanking to maybe set it off, and the only test showing this also showed the trigger being pulled past the break by accident and the sigger in chief lying about it
>Takes mags from 10rd to 32rd
>generic and replaceable

>>64076068
Gun thickness doesn't matter nearly as much as the "CC community" says because 50% of the CC community is women and twinks
I actually find fatter guns significantly more comfortable to conceal, in addition to the shit that matters: faster to draw, and easier to shoot.

>>64076254
The 19's slide is too long to get shoved down the front of the pants. If you're built like a triangle it's ok, but if you're built like a fridge, the G26 is better.

Yes. Thicker than the competition but recoil impulse is comparable to a much larger handgun; shot it next to my P365 with defense ammo and was surprised at how much better it is.

Same trigger, grip angle, and sight picture as Glock’s full-size handguns is also great for continuity of training if you carry those as a duty weapon. Lets you have a carry rotation without going full retard using completely different guns.

Can also use full-size double stack Glock magazines. Carry a 26 with a 10-rounder for minimal printing and a 17 magazine as a spare. All Glock needs to do is add a light rail and a COA.

I don't find this to be the case for anything between the G26 to the G17 i shoot them all equally well, or equally poorly however you want to look at it. I don't begrudge anyone choosing a G19 over a G26, but I personally like the point of balance a bit better on the G26 than the G19.

Concealed? Sure. I've never seen anyone open carry a G26 in a duty style holster, but swap out the flush fit mag for a 15 or 17 rounder, and theres no reason it couldn't be done in principle. You give up the flexibility with what kind of light you can mount, but in return you have a one gun setup that can go a lot smaller than a full size, but still retain the same magazine capacity if desired.

Not even slightly. Even Glock fans prefer things like the 43 and 43x for concealed carry. For everyone who isn't a Glock fan, it's a singularly uncomfortable and pointless shape.

I'm an older millennial and pretty far from a metrosexual and I carry a micro. (Shield Plus.) I had trouble concealing my 19 in a lot of warm weather clothes and why drag around any more gun than I have to, when something this small shoots pretty well and holds plenty of ammo for realistic CC scenarios?

No, double stack 380's have come a long way and 380's are basically just slightly necked down 9mm's. If you've already got G26 and you like and it and fits into your EDC lifestyle though then there's no reason to get ride of it.

Being that it has the same thiccness as a Glock 19, I actually felt my 26 really wasn't much more concealable. It exists in a kind of weird middle ground that I don't personally like.
I either now carry a Glock 19 if I'm full dressed and with a belt and all, or I carry an LCP if I'm dressed lighter.

Doesn't the 26 use the same frame rails as the 19? I'm tempted to print an extended 26 frame and just get a 19 Slide with a COA.

Cops do much better than civilians in shooting videos. Have you seen all those civilian shooting videos where they run towards the target shooting with their eyes closed, often one handed? You notrainings will post threads applauding them like they did so well, yet they fucked up completely. Shows how shit this board is and it's opinions. Cops win 99% of their gunfights and this retard comes in saying he's better because he went to a gun testing range where they don't even let you draw from the holster because they know you're a retarded notraining, then shot a stationary piece of paper. You're not familiar with any of the modern tactical methods. Shut your layman mouth.
