Go to another store. Some of the bigger ones won't even let you touch the gun you're about to buy. I had a Cabelas do that when I found an LTT 92 back when they first came out. Scoring is done my taking the raw time and adding the following penalties:

C-zone impacts: 0.25 seconds
D-zone impacts: 1 second
Misses: 2 seconds

A 0.25 second bonus is subtracted from the final score if the test is performed from concealment or using an active retention (SLS+ALS minimum) duty holster.

So my run here >>64139817 would be a calculated
2.69 bill drill
4.09 split bill drill
2.26 Mozambique
2.14 Immediate incapacitation (double tap to eye box)
Or a solidly "Dark" pin run.

Technically you're supposed to shoot everything four times and your best two must both be at or better than the pin you "score"
If your first attempt is worse than a dark pin time on any drill you fail the whole test.

Pic unrelated, 10 yard attempt at slow fire

I just got word today my BG 2.0 I plan on pocket carrying for road trips arrived at my FFL. Had been kicking around a couple different ideas of how to cerakote it. Someone here reccomended black multicam and I liked that idea but I think after all the James Reeves talk about road rage and bullshit police reports I'm going to get it paited something like this but with the black and yellow reversed so if someone does file a false police report I can just say "well unless they said it was a yellow gun they're lying."

I usually carry 5oclock strong side. It's what I practice draws with the most and I feel uncomfortable with the idea of quick draws appendix. I like my dick and balls with as many holes as I came out the factory with.

Compensators I think are incredibly impractical on most set ups, especially tilting barrel guns. >>64140149 porting like this, free recoil reduction due to no additional mass hampering reliability.

Ports/comps make the gun louder, personally I donโ€™t like shooting ported/comped guns since it just feels weird and if in a cramped shooting stall uncomfortable

That's exactly what I was shooting at, or a homemade version of a standard IDPA target to be exact. It's a .38 LCR so I do 2 shots, reholster, then three shots, or the other way around. I don't make a big deal out of running full bill drills even with larger guns because shooting three gets me the same amount of practice as shooting six, in my opinion. For pocket carry, I don't usually keep my hands in my pockets, but it was helpful for that one time a sketchy guy knocked on my door and I didn't give shit if he knew I was holding a gun.

The CSX I rented was terrible, especially coming from the company that made the shield plus which imho is the best microcompact. The controls were stiff, the slide and trigger were stiffer and I just didn't group well with it. It was snappy and generally worse than even the $230 taurus GX4 I shot the same day.

All that being said, the CSXe could have fixed all of that. Try finger fucking one in a shop.

Hmm. On my personal 92 with the Jarvis two port I felt it didnโ€™t really do much, and actually prefer my px4 compact to it. Then I shot another anonโ€™s 92 with the Jarvis two port + brass grips + brass magazine extension it was ridiculously nice. Iโ€™ve shot that same pistol without the comp so I know itโ€™s the comp doing the work. I was running stock springs and I think that anon was using lighter recoil springs.

Attaching mass to a pistol barrel effects reliability, most guns the barrel needs to move in the unlocking process which Glocks for example have tilting barrels which means the barrel needs to lift the compensator which is acting as a lever at the end. In addition to the reliability issue they spit powder and other debris out more aggressively, which can get in your eyes if you were shooting from the hip or something. Theyโ€™re also louder. I remember talking to one guy who had a shield performance center that was ported and when doing the tom cruise collateral drill shooting from the hip was throwing shit in his face

Anonymous No.64140278

They're great. For a carry they are already pretty loud without adding a comp, so keep that in mind. On top of that a comp will be very uncomfortable if you shoot it from any position other than a normal shooting stance. So if it's low because the person is close then the comp will shoot a pressure wave up at you. Presumably your attacker too so guess it isn't the worst thing but it's something else to consider.

>>64140218
The CSX E feels fine apart from the safety pinching and being tough to actuate. Most small guns like that will be snappy but I haven't shot one in a while to compare to something like the shield.

Apparently the MecGar 18 round Glock mags in Glocks with the right set of fucked up parts (fully cocked striker conversions) allows for an unintentional discharge when over inserted. The mag lips hit the extractor and let the striker drop due to some glockism.

Holosun warranty is worthless, on reddit right now there is a thread with 2 people, the poster and another random commenter, who dropped their 507comp before even putting it on their gun, got badly cracked and Holosun refuses to warranty it

How did the 507comp pass 1 drop on the Sagedynamics test on a loaded gun, and barely crack after another from a shoulder height drop, but 2 people can seemingly crack it dropping it from waist high with just the weight of the optic?

yes because they insist on forcing the americans to repair the optics, they always try to send a "repaired" optic or another used unit...

Your story is literally just the standard service, if they receive your RMA and determine nothing is wrong, but why did they take it in the first place?

because they get many complaints of being unresponsive, seems they are overworked, and will just forward any issue to fill an RMA form...
Others report the unit was seemingly worked on and told it was fixed but has the same or other issues, because it's the same unit... So an actual bad warranty experience is having to send it in not just once but twice or maybe even three times....

You can always go help them out though they offer a very generous $3,000-$3,300 salary, in California
https://holosun.com/about/company/careers.html

of course the operation is run out of a modest accommodation, estimated value, $14,000,000 facility
https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/821-Echelon-Ct-City-Of-Industry-CA/6404461/

as recently as about a year ago their rep was posting they had about 15 people employed, not sure if that was total or just working customer support... lol

Vortex has ~400... I can find ~200 right now on directory websites, should be all American or at least in the USA

Holosun is a cost saving operation IMO, working Americans like Chinese sweatshop workers IMO... I can't think of any other explanation for their horrible warranty, and all the above, except it doesn't affect their sales, they want to save that money babay

CCP mindset, the CEO shares a last name with CEO of supplier Haunic, a Haunic subsidiary in China makes optics directly for PLA apparently, the Holosun CEO also owns 15% of Haunic according to the vermilion article... so he is almost certainly comfy with the party, they are not only the elite and rich poltiically mingling with CCP naturally but literally supply the freaking army apparently.

IMO of course he won't respect Americans, he won't even pay more for his customers to get better warranty service, why pay what he porbably feels are lazy stupid American workers well? Pay the bare minimum and overwork them, don't lose money replacing used optics with new one, milk the workers time to repair them and send used units as replacements. Guessing he probably has as much respect for his workers as he does the customers as they continue to buy and support the company despite it's absolute dogshit warranty and unresponsiveness, and American businesses just support them as well...

The vermilion article wasn't actually news, insiders knew who they were and knew who they were getting in bed with

not buying is the only way to get them to change and be competitive

people had the same mindset about Sig knowing it had issues and kept supporting them instead of demanding a fix. Nothing really changed pre and post 'it ends now' except public opinion...

wonder if the same happens, especially being a warranty issue if that effects resale, anyway I don't care, plenty of cheaper just as good alternatives with good warranty, same way I didn't care if a sigger bought before it it nds now and don't care after lol, I know what is a good deal and isn't and paying extra for less ain't it, it's your money

I've seen people saying stuff like this since Sig started having issues but Sigs have only been going up in price. At this point the standard P226 is priced up there with the USP and even if you're determined to go with Sig you could spend slightly more and get a MK25 or Legion, they're not much more expensive than the base model anymore.

So if you're buying something that is roughly equivalent why would you pay 2-3x more with a worse lens and and/or worse warranty?

>Trump just wrote an executive order that all real American militia and sheepdogs must be Buy American Act compliant

While Donald Trump did issue executive orders promoting Buy American policies, most notably Executive Order 13788 "Buy American and Hire American" in April 2017, these orders focused on increasing domestic procurement for federal agencies and maximizing the use of American-made goods, products, and materials in government contracts.
There is no evidence or record of an executive order specifically targeting "militias" or "sheepdogs" in relation to the Buy American Act.
The Buy American Act primarily governs government procurement and preferences for domestically produced goods, not individual groups or citizens.
Therefore, the claim that Trump issued an executive order regarding militia and Buy American Act compliance is false.

Antigunners who brag about donating to to every gun and other groups can and will be placed on juries. Your lawyer can fight to have them be removed but if they donโ€™t say anything about their true beliefs in the jury selection process the most insane anti gunner can be selected.

I traded in my CZ P-09 for a Beretta M9A4.
The Beretta is more iconic culturally and proven over close to 50 years of military and police use.
They're both pretty equivalent.
I'd say the Beretta has a better trigger out of the box.
Also my CZ was plastic framed.

Both are good, get whichever one is cheaper or you think is cooler. You will figure out what you want for your second gun by seeing what this first gun lacks.

The GX4 is $194 and is like the 3rd best micro compact on the market.

Just found out Taurus is also running a great rebate on it. This things like $140 when you count the ammo being ~$1 a round. Theyre fucking giving these things away man.

P09 nocturne if you want a red dot. Beretta 92 if it's just a range toy.

Talk me out of getting a mk23 for competition and larp. Ive read they are stupid accurate. Im in a tuesday night pistol leauge and i think it would be fun to show up with one when everyone else is shooting custom 1911s.
Also like the only gun tbe acro looks right on.

I carry an 80s snub nosed 38 Rossi but I also live in a low risk area. Carry whatever fulfils your program compliance & capability. I shoot primarily revolvers so it makes sense my carry is a revolver.
I don't think there's any perfect carry just whatever works best for your situation

92FS 100%. Comparing the two recently and I didnt like how tiny the CZ felt vs the 92, but thats all a preference thing and you gotta live with either for a bit before making a call imo. if you go for the 92 I recommend the commercial M9 version, guarantees you a straight frame which is just slightly more aesthetically appealing imo

im sure the same exists for CZ but with Beretta its super easy to pick up a spring kit or a full trigger kit and swap out parts to make the trigger feel really good as well. Its not that difficult at all
