We either form the U.S.E. or take the path of failed South American economies, we can't take 5% GDP spending on funz under this system, the "free healthcare" and social state are too expensive to run that kind of military budget, and given our political class, I'd take the absolute economic ruin over a U.S.E. any day of the week.

My coworker was put on a TWO YEAR WAITING LIST for hemorrhoid surgery and the city has had a closed-down bridge for years now which is neither being safely dismantled nor repaired/replaced because there isn't the budget to do anything about it.
That morally necessary war embargo was a masterclass of forcing us to magdump ourselves in the feet to save face.
To top it off, Red Chinese money is buying out failing businesses all around me, people working at these neighboring companies tell me they have fucking real-life Chinese Chinamen from actual China personally keeping tabs on things and siphoning off any new IP straight from the source back to the Heavenly Kingdom.
