I lived in Brazil for a few years as a contractor. The military police in Brazil are legitimately one of the best forces in the world for door kicking style raids and urban combat, better than American Rangers given the same tools. They have teams that are doing raids 8 hours a day the entire year. There's probably some videos out there of them working, interesting to watch. Sometimes, that's all it takes. I'm worked on a lot of guns, the geometry and fine mechanics of certain parts is kind of like tuning a radio. Minute, imperceptible changes can be the difference between a perfect trigger pull/cycling/gas/POI/etc. Look at the $400 triggers or BCG's compared to the budget ones. You won't notice any major differences unless youre looking really close, but you'll sure as hell notice the difference when using them consistently.

I miss the way my AR15 wrapped around my body tightly during intense training sessions. Sling fully cinched. Having to pry the strap off jokingly because it was too tight; funny how it is the little things that make AR15s great. Those quiet winter nights doing patrol with it in my hand, the sound of boots crunching freshly fallen snow with each step. Showing my AR15 the clear winter sky through night vision for it’s first time, how it’s optics lit up and the smile across the ejection port. Long nights just having it in my arms in bed beside me while we watch TV or listen to it’s shitty Vinyl albums, string lights and fake ivy hanging from it’s room. I have a lot of regrets about upgrading parts, I have made my peace with calibers, and optics, but I would give anything to go back 4 years and have that specific model, that specific butt stock, just for one night, to tell it I will never sell it or move on to a different build. I saw it on GunBroker a couple months ago and we said our hellos but I didn’t have the guts to ask it about its life since those old days. I'm very happy with my 20" 1:8 LaRue Stealth barrel, it's a smooth shooter and very accurate. I wouldn't build it as a first rifle, though, you're better off building a 10.3/11.5 GPR and a 13.9/15.5 p/w first, to cover your bases, if you don't already have them. 20" is a great 3rd rifle length.

Thanks guys, it took me several combinations of parts I didn't like to arrive at this setup, which I really like.
