The US army was right about underground warfare?

for this to make sense you need to be in the position russia is to begin with - where they take most of their losses just shuttling troops forward to the front. a pipe is a major asset because it lets them push up men and supplies without getting droned

not sure it would matter if they could actually push above ground

So much of what's happening in Ukraine is a deevolution of modern warfare rather than an evolution of it, and it's going to taint military theory for decades to come. You'll have retards thinking trench warfare might actually be 'back', just because the Russians couldn't take Hostomel with their dollar store Market Garden.

At what point does either side just implode any known tunnels/pipelines as soon as a push/retreat in any given direction looks inevitable? I get how the first time this happens you can get taken by surprise, but if you know there's a clear pattern, just call in the sappers and break out the demo charges.

They need those tunnels for a future counter assault and logistics network.

Can't you demolish several sections of the pipe using heavy artillery or himars
himars can go through like 5 floors of a concrete building, so can't it disrupt a pipe?

Millitary theory was already tainted by musical beating some malnourished Iraqis in 2003.

there's no such thing as devolution; evolution goes every which way. Animals can evolve to be smaller, uglier, and stupider. Ukraine is showing us the fundamental techniques of the new age of warfare that we are currently in.

>That will never happen to us - to real countries!
The funny thing about every war from the past 150 years is that none of them went as people assumed they would

Everyone sees what is happening in Ukraine right now, and can learn from it.
The question is 'How do we avoid getting stuck like this?'
It is not 'How do we fight this drone war without vehicles, but better?'

If you answer the first question, you can be Germany in 1940.
If you answer the second question, you can be France in 1940.

Have a competent Air Force capable of SEAD.

It's deevolution because we're seeing tactics and equipment specs that went out of fashion in 1917. And it's directly because of Russia's failure, it didn't "evolve" in a different direction. They fucking blew it.

When the US suffers a catastrophic defeat in the first months of the war against China due to its total unpreparedness, I hope conscription gets reintroduced, and I hope drooling fuckfaces like these get conscripted to sit in a trench.

Literally what happened back in Korea

Very implessive, you two very clearly different and non-Chinese people.

The war has turned into a stalemate just like Korea. After the frontlines consolidated, Dñdespite US superiority in firepower, It wasn't possible to take even a small hill without a shitton of casualties all because the defenders would not give up their positions and keep sending more reinforcements just like both sides in this war.

Turdies getting mad at this is exactly why it happened. Putin and his retarded goons beyond fucked up. They went in with completely insufficient forces and only corrected course when the war bogged down. But as you expect from turdies, they're mad at Americans instead of blaming the one person who could've not fucked this up. There's no self reflection over how catastrophic the war went and how it could've been avoided, only rationalization and the hope that they still somehow win even if they waste a million lives.

Introspection and constructive criticism are just not features in their society. I mean hell if they're reduced to being 'actual troglodytes' trying to invade somewhere instead of the metaphorical ones we considered them, on an invasion- those wheels fell the fuck off a long old time ago!
Got to laugh I guess
God damn I am getting ready to laugh some this winter when Russian's can't afford imported Cuban hamsters and have to make do with siberian voles
