It certainly reduces the market for it, but using that same line of reasoning (as

I don't want to live in fear of potentially possessing any kind of data. I don't want to be arrested for having a PDF of Mein Kampf or whatever on my computer, which could end up being reality if this goes on unchecked. Boiling frog, etc. Certainly no /k/ommando would like to be arrested for having a bit of aluminum fashioned into a certain shape, even if that could arguably cause *much* more harm, and more directly.

The hypocrisy regarding data considered illegal is what caused me to soften my stance on this and recognize the pearl clutching and "think of the children" shit for what it is: mass hysteria. I don't think society as a whole should have opinions that strong on anything short of war, economics, and murder; all it does is demoralize us and distract us from real issues. Yes, I used to think the same, I live in the same culture you do. I have a family and friends, I go to work every morning, I like to shoot sometimes. I don't think you're much different. As cheesy as it sounds, we're both human. I'm not trying to manipulate you through a computer screen.
