I really like trains, to the point I'll drive several hours one way to visit museums and heritage railoads. It's even more repulsive to women than liking guns. I don't even sperg out about it, I just casually mention I like trains and people just immediately act like I said I enjoy wallowing in septic tanks. I don't understand. Steam engines are marvels of engineering and are cool as fuck, why do people treat me like a leper when I say I think they're neat? i went to a train museum last year, they got some cool shit like actual ww2 german steam locomotives and such. pretty interesting stuff. not my cup of tea, but i appreciate the machines for what they are.
they also organized trolley races, which was pretty cool and funny at the same time
