to be honest i get the impression britain is probably still above average for europe, at least if you live in a progressive studenty type city. from what i hear it sounds like if you're an almost passing twinkhon you'll probably be left alone. also people from the british isles are just friendlier in general as far as i can tell, i've lived in mainland europe for years and it feels like 80% of people over here have a stick up their arse.
