It honestly feels like people get really caught up in a gacha to a point they'll call it "generous" when they're given bread crumbs. I've seen similar about people calling Uma Musume generous when you already have 2 separate banners to pull for in a cycle and it takes up a metric ton of your time with playing. I think people just get too distracted and attached to the .jpgs that they fail to realize they're being toyed with in the hopes of getting money from them.
