I have two cats and one is usually trying to kill me - he will have a "designated cuddle time" when I first wake up in the morning he will sit next to me and enjoys being petted, but otherwise you have to physically pick him up and put him next to you and he is quite to bit or claw - he's not mean he's just always been aggressive.

My other cat was the runt of the litter and is very gentle and calm and will only bite or scratch if you push him too hard - though he doesn't like being physically handled as much as the other one does.

I've gotten the runt though to sit next to me most of the time - and now he will sleep next to me too - provided I don't have my laptop on and running with sleepy asmr videos - he wants to be the center of my attention.

They will both cuddle with you though if you are kinda half-asleep - they sense that and will get close to you in bed when you are sort of just resting.
