I've found it blurs the scars, making them less obvious and when they fully heal the seams are a lot smoother. For bad scars they might need a bit of makeup to to blend them or it makes tattoos much more effective at covering them. But for smaller scars at worst it looks like a cease in the skin rather than a scar of it doesn't blur it out entirely.

If you're rich and they're bad scars, you can get them redone with internal stitches which will make them less obvious, then treat them after.

If laser or surgery isn't for you, I've found skin treatments with calendula or the bio-oil that pregnant and post pregnant sorts use for stretch marks help a lot, though progress is slow so you have to be patient. Like years patient.

The laser i used for surgical scars and the treatments for self harm one's and I've had pretty good success.
