you can do one swipe easy pressing down as hard as you can for beans usually but i find that scary so i do a normal cut and then put the razor flat in the cut and quickly pull it over the cut over and over again without too much pressure and it opens up little by little like getting through the layers its less risky and when its gaping and i can start seeing beans then i use just the corner of the razor in the cut to open it up more i still get veins sometimes but idont even care about that anymore i like how much blood comes out when i got a vein it freaked me out first time

theyre really sharp and you get a long blade surface if u extend them out all the way which = deeper cuts

you can try and get it in one swipe by pressing down hard and moving the blade really fast, but you can also do one light styro cut to break the skin surface, rest the blade inside your first cut and press down and go fast for easier/more consistent beans
