I just changed my gender information with my car insurance and they instantly lowered my premium, people are so much nicer to me now that I've transitioned, and people are much more understanding when I express my feelings! I think I get why TERFs want to keep this special role in society that women have bc they don't have to pay the man premiums. I didn't transition for these reasons, but if i knew i might have started hrt earlier!

Are you transitioning so that people will be kinder to you and your car insurance will be cheaper?

I did and always will have transed because of dysphoria, but the female privilege is undeniably a huge bonus. It's like finding out the house you just moved into has a neighbour who shares your two favorite hobbies and now you can instantly be friends. Like yeah, you moved because of location and finances, but it's nice to find you also now have easy and instant human connection and kindness right outside your doorstep as well.

I liked it at first but it has way too many downsides to the point where I don't want it anymore. People only talk to me because they like me, they want to do something with me. Not because they actually enjoy being my friend. Women are seen as objects. We are prized possessions, not human beings. That is no privilege.

Even if you claim to be a woman there is no incentive for an insurer to charge women less and leave free money on the table

nta but i think this just happens so frequently that it becomes frustrating. i certainly miss the kind of comradery men have, but it's certainly not uncommon to find something similar with women. id say the only issue i have is that my hobbies are too autistic
