wood pigeon :) we used to have a pigeon that would hang out in our backyard and would eat seeds. very cute!! as a kid i went bird watching a few times with my grandfather, as he enjoys it. i havent done it since then though, although i would probably enjoy it now.

i'm really fond of a lot of "ugly" birds, like turkey vultures, andean & californian condors, marabou & jabiru storks, & giant petrels. i honestly think turkey vultures are very pretty and i'd love to see one up close, i live within their native range. i also really love bearded vultures, rooks, kea, & kakapo. city pigeons are all my friends too
nature photography is honestly one of my main hobbies and the main thing i leave the house for that isnt running errands. my city has quite a few sizeable green spaces and ive been trying to figure out which ones that i can easily reach have the best wildlife in them. i mostly photograph bugs & snails & such

i only take pictures of birds incidentally, but i do kinda like them. it's really basic but I do like corvids a lot. crows and magpies and ravens and stuff. they cute. also i have a soft spot for fieldfare bc there used to be a lot of them where I grew up and they make awful noises that i find endearing.

Yuri blanket knitting blog 2: Rows 21-40

Still not a lot to say. I'm still mostly using one colour and but for the last rows (19-20) I finally got to use colour changes and now I have 2 extra skeins to carry around :)

I realized that besides all the time I'll waste twisting and untwisting the colours, I also have the major problem of having to carry around ~20 skeins of yarn every time I want to start/stop knitting. Right now I'm just keeping everything on my desk but it's already getting crowded and I have no idea what to do when I start using more colours because carrying them off and on the desk is not that efficient.

The only other problem I have is that the yarn is not 100% the same colour as the image so it will look slightly off but there's nothing I can do about that.
