Any tips on coming out to your parents? My brother let me know my dad found "something concerning" in my room (I had some syringes there) and now suddenly my dad is coming to visit me at uni. I figure it's better to be honest about being a tranny because that's better than doing drugs but I don't know how to say it to him really. He's pretty conservative.

He basically gets all his positions from these conservative talkshows he listens to, but makes it a point to say he's a moderate and listens to both sides. To his credit he's only made transphobic jokes around me once or twice.

Say it was ket and that you are off it now and havent done it in months. Take all your hrt and hide it at another location (friends dorm maybe) and tell your dad he can search your dorm if he wants but that you havent done ket since those few needles he found.

But for actually coming out, I don't know. My coming out to them was unplanned and sucked.
I guess I might ask him to sit across from me, and say something like "I've been waiting to tell you this for a while. It might be hard to believe, but I have mever felt comfortable at all being a man. So I'm trying to transition to female. I'm transgender."
But that might be too much, and too blunt. I have no idea how well that would go.

if your main concern is a violent confrontation you could try coming out over text/calling so if he wanted to confront you he’d have to have time to settle down as he drove to you. if over text that also means you can make sure you say everything you want to say. if you are insistent on it being face to face, consider a letter which explains everything you want him to know, and you can focus on asking follow up questions. also make sure to hide the needles and estrogen in case he tries to destroy/contaminate them

He almost certainly thinks she's on drugs of some sort and wants to come talk about it. That's what most parents would think if they found syringes in their kid's room, not that they're transitioning.

i lost like.. almost my whole family over it.

If you genuinely can't think of a good way to avoid the conversation, then be prepared for the worse but don't expect it to necessarily end up being the end of the world. Sometimes people's attitudes change when it's someone close to them that comes out, I mean if you're his child then he knows you're not some crazy person.
It will probably be shitty, but you might get positively surprised as well. The chances he wants you to go to some kind of rehab are pretty much the same regardless if you're a tranny or doing drugs anyway.

On the other hand, you could brazenly, blatantly deny that you even have any syringes, and put them somewhere else when he comes. Just never let up.
He'll probably think you're on drugs but you don't have to come up with any sort of elaborate lies about using T or GLP-1.

Say you started going to the gym to get swole and you started injecting growth hormone for the sweet gains.
