I was subjected to physical/psychological torture and all flavors or sexual abuse/rape from my earliest memories until I finally started fighting back in my teens.
Her mental illness eventually settled and she became something of a better "mother", but I never forgave her for the lifetime of nightmares, unhappy memories, and psychological issues she cursed me with.
Surprisingly I came out a pretty stable and successful person, relatively speaking. All the trauma turned me into an unperson for decades that just kinda did work and checked off the "this should make you happy" checklist.
Im processing a lot of shit now and am a pretty neurotic individual but people seem to like me so Ive gotta be doing something right I think. Being a person is hard and I sometimes miss when things felt simpler, but I dont think I can go back anymore.
