No. Schopenhaeur is almost never brought up to contexualize Nietzsche's claims and philosophy. His entire philosophy is arguably a rebellion against Schopenhaeur, using Schopenhaeur (contempt for modernity, institutions of education, value of art, reducing all human behaviour to a natural will etc.)

People always act like Nietzsche is far more original than he is (I mean he still is original, but thats mostly because he came after Schop and had his entire legacy of ideas to build on and take even further and radically) and that actually Schopenhaeur is the boring one.
