Humanity has already dispelled many illusions, but one of the deepest still remains: the illusion that we stand above the rest of existence. The final god to be dethroned is the god of humanity - the belief that we are masters of the world rather than participants within it.
The truth is that humans are not rulers but co-creators, living in constant relationship with the nonhuman world. We are part of an ecosystem, a living tapestry where every thread is woven from others and in turn weaves with them. To forget this is to wither; to remember it is to rediscover the source of vitality. Natural beauty is not a luxury but the elixir of life itself. Without it, the soul collapses inward.
The greatest false god, then, is the myth of the "thing-in-itself"—the idea that beings exist in isolation, independent of all relations. Reality is not made of sealed units, but of interpenetrating processes. Divinity does not reside in dominion or in separateness, but in co-creativity, in the communion of all entities influencing and shaping one another. The truest sacredness is found in this “Ultimate Community” — the society of all things.
We can see this in the very history of the universe. In its earliest moments, it was too hot for atoms to exist. Over time, cooling allowed new structures to arise: atoms, then molecules, then stars, then life. Again and again, reality has demonstrated a deep tendency toward emergent novelty—the weaving of what did not exist before.
This “something about” the universe is not a hidden lawgiver but the interplay of immense diversity. When countless forms and forces encounter each other, they generate conditions for new structures to arise. Diversity is fertile; it creates the possibility of transformation. The lesson is that novelty, creativity, and beauty do not come from isolation but from relationship. Divinity is not a distant thing but the living network of participation itself. The cosmos is not a stage with separate actors, but an ongoing improvisation in which each being contributes to the next movement. The true sacred is the endless weaving of existence together.
