This clearly isn't that at all. It's a war on femininity, and creativity by proxy.
The units are made to be unisex, the women androgynous and ugly, on purpose by ideologues. This is not an inspired decision, it's a diversity quota.
The Underworlds warband leader is arguably better, just because they went in for making her this comically ugly matriarch figure.
There is at least some character in that compared to every new release having this modern western notion that "anything men can do woman can also obviously do, and they participate in compareable numbers".
It's just such shit writing, with the designers cramming their modern world views into fantasy settings.
It's not "fantastical and awesome women, doing incredible things". This is not warrior princess Xena.
