Oddly complicated transformation for... no real conceivable tactical advantage other than carrying stuff (no hands though!).
The limbs don't really offer range of motion in the context of this machine since each limb just leads into a free moving wire guided cannon anyways. AMBAC would do very little because 80% of it's mass and all of it's thrusters are in it's ass. And now it's above average profile is even bigger.
It doesn't have usable feet, and doesn't seem to gain melee unless it's cool with smashing it's cannons up in both instances.

you guys realize that we haven't actually seen the full transformation, right? We've only seen kikeroga halfway transformed.

>Stage 1
>inner frame unfolds from the two orthogonal bisecting gaps in the Braw Bro armor; braw-bro's wired funnels become the hands and feet
>(this is what we saw a few episodes ago when he grabbed the GQX).

>Stage2
> Braw-Bro opens up and "swallows" the Kikeroga, wrapping its armor around the Kikeroga's inner frame

Think about it: The Braw-Bro in UC is significantly larger than the Braw-Bro in GQX. GQX's Braw-Bro is small enough that it could conceivably be made into an HG; UC Braw Bro is huge and would never be an HG. (Destroy, Psycho, Dendobrium, etc. are more of a special case that only got turned into gunpla decades later; they'd never do something like that for a new MA when they don't already know if it's going to be popular).

But despite this, no Braw-Bro HG has been announced. It could be an HG. They've changed the design from UC to make it small enough to get an HG. But they haven't announced an HG. So why would they give so much screentime to Braw-Bro if they aren't going to make an HG? The obvious answer is that they are going to make an HG but they haven't announced it yet. Why would they wait to announce this kit when Gelgoog, Gyan, Rick-Dom, etc all get announced immediately after their episodes air? The only answer to that is that we haven't actually seen Braw-Bro/Kikeroga's true form onscreen yet.

>I asked Tsurumaki this, but I wanted to ask you as well: Of all the Mobile Suit designs, is there a specific mech that's your favorite, and why?
>Kobayashi: What did director Tsurumaki say?
>He mentioned that one of his favorite characters was Chalia Bull and told Polygon that Gelgoog was his favorite. However, he and scriptwriter Yลji Enokido had a big debate about whether GM or Rick Dom would win in a fight.
>Kobayashi: (laughs) I think the original Gundam has a unique position. Its simple design carries a strong sense of heroism; for me, the white color is also an important part of its identity.
>And for me, many of the Mobile Suit designs from the original Gundam still feel incredibly striking. I think one reason is that director [Yoshiyuki] Tomino came up with some rough designs for the Mobile Suits that mechanical designer Kunio ลŒkawara rearranged. Mr. Okawara is phenomenally, exceptionally good at translating what Mr. Tomino wanted. If you ever have a chance to look at Mr. Okawara's material in the very early days at studio Mechaman, it's wonderful stuff. It shows you how he was taking hero robot elements and translating them into concrete shapes.

No, the point of most transformations is that they point all the thrusters in the same direction. Zeta isn't (really) designed for atmospheric flight, it's called Wave Rider mode because it's meant to ride the shockwaves for atmospheric entry. It just so happens that it can brute force flight too due to being 50% rockets. But most transforming space MS, like Gabthleys, Hambrabis, etc all point all the thrusters backwards when they transform, to thrust harder

between evangelion rebuilds going full fucking retard with their modern designs, and the majority of modern gundam designs being ugly/retarded/overdesigned.. what the fucking hell happened? where are the guys who just make cool looking shit that looks good? did they all fucking die? where the fuck are they? even halo and starwars got the same treatment. shit so did warhammer.

am i wrong? the overwhelming majority of IPs that still get "new" content today almost always have shit that looks like trash compared to the original designs or earlier designs in their respective IP. Its been like this for what feels like a decade.

>>23334296
ive been getting into that a bit sketching stuff out and having a guy 3d model some stuff to 3d print later. Just easier at this point to make my own stuff it feels like. i do everything by hand but with ai (which im not a fan of) im wondering if we will see a resurgence of cool shit being made. i think ai probably is a good tool for brainstorming basic shapes and silhouettes and then a human finishes the other 50% of the design.

unironically yes. artists will need to learn to use ai in the same way programmers will need it to replace all boilerplate code or they wont be competitive
AI is just outsourcing and jeets cranked up to 11, adapting with the times and putting in the work while having a distinct vision will still allow unique works to stand out

no- i dont use it myself i have drawn with physical media for years. but you can probably use it for rapid brainstorming. i have seen people put a bunch of designs from a franchise into an ai and have it make images using that data. and i find that approach interesting if you are trying to make something which is authentic feeling to source material. so im hoping after a year of shit tier designs if now people who get paid to work on pre-existing media will finally be able to make designs that look like faithful additions to prexisting IP.

I actually quite like the design.
In Thunderbolt, Daryl pilots this by having his Mobile Suit stuck to the front, so I guess this is the next logical step.
Not to mention it solves the problem of being near-defenseless at close range.

That's concept art from Rebuild of Evangelion, not GQX.
Picrel is what they ended up going with for Eva 8+2, just their movie 3 designs stitched together.
8+2 was also completely written out of the final movie and only appeared in 3's preview

08 also could've become an evatank instead of getting new arms.
You just have to learn to appreciate that the concept art exists and is accessible in the first place.

why did the finalized design just have the stick figure pop out from the slit? every other concept is significantly better was it an animation concern? because I cant think of a single fucking reason why they would pick the final design

Why does it transform?
Hard mode I'm talking about tactical advantages in combat and not just looking cool
The cable gun is already super flexible and its not like MS mode made it do anything new.

MAs are always explicitly faster and better for long distance boosting even if most gundam shows fail to show it well on screen. See how Asshimar caused troubles for Zeta+Hyaku in Zeta.
>b-but in space
The same applies, and more advantage applies to an MA that can zoom in the battlefield quick from any angles, where visibility is already limited and crucial in a minovsky-dense field. When transforming into MS, others have already noted that its weapons can fire at multiple angles without deploying the wires.

Nta but if I designed it I'd have made it so when it goes MS mode the wasp butt boosters can be separated, maybe even have made it an autonomous drone like red gundam's stingers
