Really they need to adjust the length of the content and add replayable new gameplay modes that reset on a daily or weekly basis.
They've currently done way too many limited time content and newer players won't be able to experience them for weeks or months at the rate things are going.
If they want to grow they have to maintain and grab more attention in some way for the long term than just the current base game content alone.

Yeah, when you can basically reach the limit of a two-week event's content within the first 2 days, it leaves you without anything new to do besides the dailies grind again.

Hell, the next event we got coming up won't even give us new units, it looks like. So we got a two-week stop-gap where we just nab Punished Quatre and a new support dude in a day or two and then wait for SEED Destiny to hit.

Even as one who likes Eternal for the most part, I can definitely agree with some of the requests for stuff like faster events, a daily free roll, etc.

F91 could benefit from adding content cut from the movie. EW, by comparison, is in an awkward position, you'd have to make every minor encounter worth it:

-Zechs blowing up that asteroid
-Heero and Duo raiding a colony
-Heero fights Wufei in space

Most of my units are leveled to around 80 while the units in the video are at level 90 or so, and I guess all of their supporter pilots are also around 90 to 100 but my supporter pilots are more like level 50.

I'm not 100% sure that's gonna work, since all it does in that strat is act as a thing to eat attacks. You need something that can survive 1 hit from the quin mantha, eat one attack using sway from the big zam, and then die from the second big zam attack. Qubeley has a 20% beam reduction skill, a shield guard and 5 movement. However if the QM does the wrong move it will still die, hence why I swaped it out for a UR psycho mk3 on my run(25% defense vs ZZ suits lets it just barely survive any of the QM's attacks).

You FGO experience will serve you well. Patience is the one skill which rules any gacha and you've already developed it. When everyone is crying about no gems you'll be swimming in them.

As for your question, There's no absolute necessities like Castoria or Oberon. It's early in the game's life cycle so we're still in stat-stick mode where very little matters outside of big numbers. That means unfortunatly anything below SRs are all hopelessly outclassed since they have lower numbers and no passive skills. The simplicity does gives you some flexibility since alot of units are mostly interchangeable, so as long as the unit you pick has decent passives or attack effects you can probably use it. The development units are quite good, and those will be where you get the bulk of your roster from. For now just overlevel your Nu Gundam and Quux and leave the story team blank and you'll be able to rip through most of the story stages and get all the free shit so you can start making gundams.

One of the main draws is, as usual, content that hasn't been in G Gen before or in a while as far as units are concerned, which it has the potential to end up being even more than Genesis and Cross Rays together, with the animations to boot.

Gacha-fying it to get there does stink, but at the same time the gacha process streamlined some things; stages don't take absurdly long and can be auto'd to streamline even further and I feel it's actually a touch less grindy thanks to all the exp mats you can accumulate, but that may just be me.

Would it have been better if we just got a game that was basically the new Overworld? Probably yeah. As it is, it's not the worst, though. I still hope that it'll have an offline version made after it ends service some years down the line.

Once the dailies are back up, gonna use that 3K for a free extra 10-pull on the current banner.
