Glotta's duality with Lakia is pretty obvious now they are both very attached to their family, but glotta doesn't have empathy for other family's while Lakia did.

A lot of the dichotomy between the Stomachs and the Riders is just showing the differences between how they cope with somewhat similar trauma, and how much better the Riders do it in the long run. I quite like that aspect

The entire Stomach family is just fucked because of their upbringing, Shouma despite the abuse at least had his mom. Glotta is so emotionally constipated she doesn't realize she was feeling grief about Shitta and Lango's death.

I don't like the Lakia/Glotta duality angle though, since Lakia has one building up with Dente-ojiisan over the course of the show that's much better done, and Glotta has been a complete non character the entire way.

Meh episode, they did way too many fakeouts with Dente's death and for him to finally die at the hands of Glotta of all people in an episode focusing on Lakia instead of Shouma makes me wish he died earlier. I don't care about Lakia and Glotta's beef, they barely had any interactions throughout the whole show, they're closer to being strangers than rivals.

Wasn't the way I was expecting the old man to go but seeing him face the tragedy of his past actions and failing to correct them at the time was probably the best way they could tie him back into the core themes of the show. Good episode. Even if I still think that Shouma should be the one to kill Glotta instead of Lakia.

Lakia and Glotta wield similar weapons and introduced as lonely older sibling characters who must remain strong and never hesitate to cut down anyone standing in their way but when offered redemption, Lakia accepted while Glotta chose to cut down her only chance of redemption.

I don't know, I still feel like it'll turn out it wasn't Glotta that killed Comel. That shot of her striking him seemed to have been Lakia's imagination rather than Glotta having a flashback, and there was that one Stomach meeting scene back then where they mention "someone" killed the kid and if it had been Glotta they'd probably just have said it was one of the part-timers she'd culled or something.

For a midseason upgrade in the post-final form period, Sorbet is getting plenty of use.

I guess its better to give Glotta something before she dies but saying "she’s lonely" feels like cope. Saying she missed her mom and dad is weird when she happily stood with Lango when they gloated about getting rid of him. And while she did had some pause when Shiita died, she didn’t really care that much. And the next time she fought she let him go, the murderer of the sister he supposedly cared about, just because he put up a good fight. I think it could have worked if she really was afraid of dying next or if she only loved Lango, but saying she always was a loving sister is definitely bullshit. She didn’t love her twin sister and bro enough to stay for their birthday, didn’t care about Shiita enough to hunt down Shoma and didn’t love Jeeph enough not to choke him out of anger recently. I don’t know why she’s surprised he didn’t tell her anything after she did that.
But I guess it’s better that she’s sympathetic and still dies than being sympathetic and instantly being forgiven like certain writers love to do. I like that the past two shows punish evildoers regardless of how sad they feel.

The direction is that she hasn't been honest with herself because she's acting under a belief that emotional vulnerability is a weakness she refuses to acknowledge. Since the arc started she's been visibly upset that Jeeph and Nyelv are causing the family to break apart and it's more severe than Siita's death because the situation is building on top of it.
The pacing can be criticized but it's not like it's something that is a contradiction out of nowhere.

Yes, she was concerned about them running off, but she was never shown to be concerned about Lango using them as tools to further his goals by marrying them off, which they obviously hated and is what led to their deaths. She's also not shown to be upset at Lango when he tells her to let the Twins do as they please instead of bringing them back, and she follows that instruction by making no effort to localize them herself, only getting slightly angry when one of them ends up dead and the other goes completely missing.

The Twins got fired because they lied about Gavv and were found out (by Glotta no less), then they were given an ultimatum to either get rid of him or get booted from the company, all of which Glotta was aware of and didn't protest.
