Sentai kaijins are unfortunately just seen as mostly cannon fodder, no matter how memorable they are. I've been dying for some merch of various Sentai generals over the years, a figure at least or something, but unless it's something that P-Bandai can crank out, no luck. Honoring past kaijin is almost entirely Ultraman's thing. Those get remembered and homaged forever, everything else you're just supposed to forget after the heroes explode them.

To the point that to convince Miyauchi (who had already played the lead in Kamen Rider V3 and had a strong career going at the time) to play Aoranger they had to argue he was playing a character cooler than the lead, not just a minor hero within the show. This dynamic continued into actual Super Sentai, with Battle Japan and later reds.

Personally I found Gingaman to be extremely boring excluding its special effects which are amazing. The second weakest Kobayashi toku, with the only one being worse imo is Amazons Season 2.
The problem I had with Gingaman is that it felt extremely basic with its characters, motw and villains. I like the team excluding the pink ranger and the second 6th hero, but I never felt like anyone really stood out aside the Blue ranger Gouki who's really enjoyable, this wouldn't be that much of a problem if the villains made up for it but they similarly felt very generic aside from a merchant villain that's introduced in the final stretch of the show, the motw feel similarly undrbaked. The show ended up this way because its producer wanted a "basic hero" show because the past few Sentai were really experimental.
It's definitely not a bad season but I think you should temper your expectations a bit, aside from some parts near the end of the show like the mandatory motw is actually good episode, the show isn't really like the other Kobayashi toku.

Showa Sentai has way better Mecha fights than Gingaman most of the time. They back and forth for at least 30 seconds typically. The only ones that are "Form mecha, pose, use finisher" are Liveman and Turboranger.

I haven't seen all of showa but I have to agree, Liveman's and a lot of Maskman's Mecha fights hardly lasted. From Jetman onward Sentai got their groove back for Mecha fights except for whenever Dairen'Oh gets used and most Kobayashi Sentai. If I had to criticize her as a writer it's that she clearly doesn't care much about Mecha fights, only in Go-Busters and Shinkenger I felt that she actually gave a damn while her other 3 Sentai she would often opt to finish them as quickly as possible.

The villains only get better with time, there's also quite a few characters of the week that help in the final arc but the team sadly stay flat for most of the show's run. I feel like bandai has always had the correct format for auxiliaries in front of them and just never noticed. Do something like boonboom cars again in packs of two but have them work like skymage but crash combine like those RID transformers or the MeCard ball mechs from korea.
That way you get armor for the main robot in the form of two vehicles but also a smaller supplementary robot if you don’t own the main one.

The Goyzuger rings are selling, I'm constantly seeing them sell out online from JP retailers, and they're easy to pick up. Also aligns with the finding that parents and kids are only picking up their favorites.

It's the sentai Rings that are sitting around. I don't think the show's really doing too great with the collect-em-all challenge of the rings, just doesn't feel like they're giving all that much focus to the battle royale for that to really motivate kids to want them. I chock that up to the show overall having terrible pacing when it comes to balancing the two plots of the Ring hunt and the No-Ones. Sometimes we have good battles or small scenes here and there, but they don't gel well with the No-One battles. It constantly feels like both are competing for more focus in the show, and that I can see not really doing well with kids with low attention spans.
