Because of a misunderstanding of wanting to respect Tomino's wishes. He doesn't want gundam to be all about the toys and the mobile suits that so much that the plot takes back seat, the irony is that Gundam, needs to lean in hard on the mobile suits in order to thrive, (this is why for major projects,the format needs to go back to 50eps, for chances to introduce or show off mobile suit, and return the plot will have more time to develop and gives the viewer more time to digest the show.) Because of this misunderstanding it also leads to them misinterpret the plot of tomino's works in itself, why you get stupid shit like time travelling, multiverse focal point Lalah.

this is her least plausible ability, all suspension of disbelief was broken in this moment. she should have stuck to taking off her own clothes and not putting clothes on others
