i watched a bit of the second one way back when it was airing on tv and i remember thinking it was weird and shitty. no clue why they did that. first series was kino but i think it got kneecapped being aired on weekdays at like 6 am or whatever it was. missed a lot of it.

Or one game that is just decent. I love the anime to bits, but holy fuck the games are miserable. I have no idea how poor japanese kids played the newest yearly release for like 5 years.
