To me, what makes Ultraman "Ultraman" is that at the end of the day, it isn't just "Ultraman shows up and does cool things against monsters". Ultraman usually does have a deeper message that it wants to present and explore. And this is why shows like Ginga S and Z rank pretty low in my book cause the appeal of those shows really can boil down to "Ultraman shows up and does cool things against monsters"

Hoping that Omega would bring me back. Blazar disappointed me while Arc despite having good episodes ultimately didn't made me care enough of it.

Hell I think Arc's memorable episodes for me are the long distance alien relationship, Zangil coffee stuff (till Blazar ruined it which is why the crossover is a disappointment to many) and the Arc and Yuma sitting in the theater.

This. The crossover had an extremely good setup with Zangil especially when he sees Yuma reminds him of Gento and then we see a silhouette of Blazar which only builds up the hype. So when the crossover happened but Arc and Blazar barely interacted it killed all the hype. Which is a shame because Zangil teaching Arc the special move, as well as Arc cloning himself to defeat hordes is such a creative use.

I think it's because the way Arc marketed itself, it specifically states that it's a Showa homage season so people know what to expect, compared to Blazar which people mistakenly assume it will be like Nexus or Shin Ultraman and whatnot.

He was supposed to be the exile Cosmo Beast warrior that was exile from planet D60. He's a have a scorpion Cosmo Beast based on the Scorpius constellation and his elemental power is Earth. Watched Ultraman for the first time since I was a kid. And man, that was a pretty decent first episode.
Omega looks cool, his human form is fun, Kousei looks like a good deuteragonist. That opening fight scene on the alien planet was dope. Nice to see how far tokusatsu has come.

The director asked for a completely new visual effect, so this was a good opportunity to realize my idea (laughs). So I wondered if I could create a light effect with depth on the color timer. After asking the modeling team to try it over and over again, we finally decided on the current plan. In fact, this structure has several layers. A filter with many small holes is placed on the light source. On top of that, there is a transparent part with spiral patterns. When they are combined, a light with a sense of depth can be expressed, as if you can feel the vastness of the Milky Way. We made many different hole patterns for the filter and many different spiral patterns, and tried various combinations before finally making it. After repeated experiments, we finally completed the appearance of this unprecedented color timer.

Ultraman continuity gets a bit more complicated and closer to something like Gundam typically. There's a few different timelines and settings, with several shows based on a "main" timeline that stems back to the original Ultraman, but there are also numerous one-off isolated canon settings. Some are AUs of each other. The "multiverse" separating all of these continuities is also not only explicitly canon, but repeatedly invoked and interacted with in-setting and many characters can travel between these continuities as they please while there are also parallel isotopes of other ones.

Generally put there's well over 30 of these "continuities" but only a few are ever particularly relevant outside of the world of the current show:
