"gee kwux" is how they say it in the english dub and it's the same number of syllables as "GQ" so what is wrong with saying "gee kwux"? it doesn't sound that similar to "cucks" if you say like the voice actors do. It's more annoying to write it out because it has six 'u's and no one seems to be able to decide if it should be shortened to GQ or GQx

Finale was fine overall. I liked the show but would have dropped the clan battle stuff and introduced some of the show's broader mysteries sooner or developed them sooner rather than info dumping at the end.

There's like a really good show in there, it just needed to either be restructured or expanded. People being super negative about it are being super dramatic tho, it was still good overall.

I disagree, the show isn't just about "the mysteries" or about clan battles or about parallel universes or whatever, it's about all and the first couple episodes serve as a way to ease you into the narrative and the mind space of the characters, I mean it really is just a high budget anniversary celebration plagued with fan service and callbacks to the more obscure aspects of the show. I understand why some people might want the show to devote itself to just the newtype and technobabble mystery but in my opinion that doesn't make for an interesting or novel show, imagine if it was just zeknova and multiple universes without any of the new characters' shenanigans. There was a place for both aspects of the show and I think they did a good job with what they wanted to achieve.

Challia's betrayal didn't make sense to me but on the whole the finale was really good! I like it a lot more than Ep11. The pet robots at the beach were super cute. I enjoyed gquuuuuux a lot, but as a newcomer to the series, the fan service didn't quite land. I think the classic RX-78 was supposed to be a real hype moment for fans but for me it was a letdown. I can't help but feel like the "the whole universe was just lalah's dream haha" was a way to tiptoe on eggshells for fans of the original UC timeline.

I like a lot of what gqux did but I dont think more episodes is enough to solve it, I think it should have been separate shows
a fun clan battle show with alternate universe designs that doesn't take itself too serious
a zeon won series without needing a single miraculous event to pull it off
and then some meta show about lalah or a new newtype traveling between possible futures and seeing that conflict and death are unavoidable and you cant simply run from hardship and loss
also all of these would ideally be longer than 12 episodes

The clan battle and zeon won thing can still work if they had more time. The clan battles can be used to flesh out characters while showing more of what life is like under zero rule - we saw tiny bits of it regarding refugees and the local cops getting mad at zeeks.

The meta show definitely felt like it should have been its own thing. Or maybe like an OVA/ movie AFTER the previous bits.

I don't know I feel like they delivered on all those fronts, sure I'd love more episodes and a more fleshed out show but let's be real, it's not like they can choose to do a longer show with the state the industry is in. If this sets a precedent that people are interested in more mecha/gundam/high budget sunrise shows then I can't complain about this show.

That would explain why he could make such wild assumptions on her part. Would explain why he was needed as some sort of middleman in resetting each iteration, when Lalah did it on her own in the first place.
More importantly it explains why Machu's pep talk reaching Shuji coincides perfectly with Lalah waking up with a smile on her face, ready to face the world she was rejecting all this time.

I'm concerned this is 4d yurifag cope, but at the same time this would indeed make Shuji's mysterious (non)-existence and wild projections about Lalah seem less retarded. It also makes his emotional attachment to the Red Gundam earlier in the series make a bit more sense, if he/lalah sees it as a keepsake from Char, despite the story not really implying the Shuji and Char were particularly close.

My local hobby shop had the Police Zaku, and I got a Gelgoog while I was in Japan. The stickers on the Zaku are the worst I have seen on a Bandai kit made after 2010, but the build itself was solid. Haven't touched the Gelgoog yet, but it looks good from what I've seen.

I do agree the clan battle shit outstayed its welcome. The show felt like it was trying to do both - a “first love” story with cutesy character designs, and simultaneously an alternate post-OYW history with the retro designs.

When they’re running parallel to one another it’s fine, but when the last episode has to bring all the plot threads together, things get… messy.

The last leg of the show needed a lot more room to breathe, probably needed a proper episode of Chalia whipping Mashu into shape and impressing upon her the importance of Newtypes. Spending too much time on Side 6 with clan battles took away from that.

Overall I liked the series, “I wanted more” is both a complaint and a compliment. A follow up series or movie with a bigger focus on looming threats such as the Titans would be extremely welcome.
