It's like modern Star Wars, shit just gets to coast on the name. Doesn't matter if its bad, it's in the culture.

>>23344979 >G-Witch doubled the gundam fanbase in japan Citation needed. And no, the Gunpla sales are not an argument. After the coff there was a gunpla boom thanks to a lot of youtubers and influencers getting into it.
>>23344673 (OP) >is 99.9% of modern anime dogshit yes. the nips are not immune to societal brain rot and feminization in fact they helped spread it

>>23344673 (OP) life in Japan is deteriorating and theyre staring down some real demographic and economic issues in the very near future. childish shit is a wonderful way for them to escape from this reality. until the japanese economy picks back up, and they start fucking one another, dont expect anime to be anything other than this utter slop
>>23344997 I think that the post mortem take regarding sales is that it's hard to sell toys that get no screentime. That guntank model is awesome but it was only around for an episode. The gelgoog models were barely featured at all.
>>23344673 (OP) Some in Japan treat it as funny meme slop. Other treat it as a touching story where lalah and Char end up together. I think many think Machu was kinda weak for most of the story. At least they don't think it's completely good. But it's still entertaining. And sometimes that's all a work needs to be.

>>23345560 personally I dont mind some of the redesigns but they dont translate well to model kits. for some reason the joints where heavily simplified even in the anime so the models end up looking very cheap and very action figure-esque

On the Anikore rankings, it dipped a bit after episode 11, but now it's back up above Build Divers and Thunderbolt S1, but it's below ZZ, The Origin, Thunderbolt S2, and SEED HD Remaster.
>>23345527 I donโt think Iโve come across something so hateful in a while from that list of your, if you really think about that find a new hobby and leave this place
>>23345208 yeah I agree dunno about Japan, but it definitely did that for the rest of the world.

The worst thing is the preview movie being a financial success Compromised the show badly and sucked as a standalone thing, and they will learn an entirely wrong lesson from it
>>23345823 Oh no I got to watch a high budget gundam film on cinemas, what a fucking disaster, I sure hope they don't release more and more so I can get a cool cinematic experience. The fucking horror.
>>23349025 And G-Reco, AGE, Twilight Axis, Stargazer, Thunderbolt, IGLOO.

>>23344673 (OP) Hell if I know. I haven't watched a single episode yet since I want to bulk torrent the first season but I was following the ratings, jap review sites were at 3 stars/60% last week but suddenly jumped up to 3.5-4 stars/70-80% now that S1 is over. Did a specific episode piss them off mid season or was it all meh but had a good enough finale to up the ratings?
