Like his he was so mad at Bandai for continuously making more Gundam even though they promised to stop and invest in new anime franchises. Women waiting to have children in your 30s and 40s is an extremely modern thing. Only happened in the last 50 years due to science, and society making things so comfortable. But that won't change thousands of years of evolution.

It's a summary of many different interviews over decades from what I can see. I'm only familiar with some of what anon wrote but Tomino does sometimes mentions personal family issues in various interviews. It's pretty random desu

- One interview Tomino mentions being burned out during the late 80s/early and uses novels to explore alternate ideas and relieve stress.

- Then maybe another interview 10 years later Tomino may mention having to support his daughter's college expenses and the financial troubles of Tomino being a Japanese freelancer.

- Another random interview Tomino talks about his wife being sad because she watched Zeta Gundam and didn't like the depressing ending.

What makes it confusing to track down is Tomino sometimes does the interviews for Japanese or English organizations. Or even some random ass local newspaper from the 1990s. He's all over the place.
