Do you guys suggest getting any of the UR double Defenders? I haven't used my Free Assembly UR yet. I do have Amuro and Athrun, but sole double defender is Rey + any Destiny suit. For double Support I have Shinn and Amuro, and also good attackers in Kira and Amuro.

I wonder if the game will ever end up dipping into some really obscure stuff by the end of it. We make the half-jokes about Gaia Gear or G-Saviour or Gundam Killer but I wonder if they have a shot. They're too obscure to be banner worthy but they could maybe land on Fierce Enemy Assault or just get shoved in the gacha down the line.

Speaking of Jonah, I managed to roll him recently but his Narrarive doesn't seem like the best option for an all purpose defender suit, especiallt with the gimped move outside of space. I'm pretty sure the issue stems from faulty calculations, like the enemy AI tends to guard if it will let it survive and I'm betting the player AI doesn't take that into account, so it would have killed if it was doing full damage and that's all it sees. Except it isn't doing full damage so it doesn't.

Finally tried Force Impulse, I didn't expect that it using all the packs for attacks. It's being treated more like the spec II in Freedom. Also, I honestly wonder what the hell is up with this game and development units, the gacha Rey is a great defender... and they made Legend an attacker so he's better suited to Destiny than his actual unit.

Is "specialized unit" supposed to actually be customized unit? Because that's certainly what it feels like looking at the unit list. God the translation of this game is a mess.

Tree Hi Nu has a nerfed version of the fin funnel barrier that only gives 40% like an i field instead of the 50% or 60% of UR Nu or Hi Nu, the biggest selling point it can really claim is 1 more move over psycho(which is nice) but otherwise it's basically interchangeable if that move doesn't come up. They even have most of the same tags.

5 move with a map and 3 passives all of which are actually good and not +EN garbage not to mention a unique debuff and shield defend is basically as good as an SSR defender gets. It could have 5 range on the funnels and OSK and that's about it, but honestly it hardly needs that one and has a good selection of tags anyway. It is flatout better than the majority of units you listed.

Does it really make a difference when it's still gonna die in the same number of hits? Personally speaking, I'd rather have 5 range and the possibility of using range+1 to apply a debuff rather than being hard locked into sway to do so. Like don't get me wrong when push comes to shove just having 5 move is enough to take it over 4 move suits but it's just a marginal and expensive upgrade that ultimately doesn't do enough to justify it's cost.

Well I guess this is honestly the root of our disagreement on this because it's a free mobile suit you'll get with time no matter what, there's no cost to it. What else are you gonna do with CCA mats? I've already maxed both Jagds myself and unlocked Beta Azieru, about to LB Nu. I'll probably have it in a week, but I'm prioritizing it. Anyone else will have it MLB in a month. What's the cost?

Make a squad that only does physical damage to deal with Psyco, now, your team comp is gonna be 3 attacker suits, 2 of which are piloted by support pilots, 1 support suit with a support pilot to inflict the right debuffs on whatever you're dealing with, and 1 defender suit with a defender pilot to tank at least twice, bait everything into attacking your dudes, after that you hopefully still have a defender left so Big Zam doesn't Big Zam all over you.

Using genshit as an example, if you had shit luck and had to hard pity the character it's around 2.5k to max it out. Shinn has double Support, but unlike the SSRs he's not tied to anything for that. Can use it in any unit.
And yes, you can certainly put Luna in the Force Impulse EX. She'll do great, and you can use Shinn elsewhere. You just miss out on Shinn's ability to be too angry to die which he only gets while piloting the Force Impulse.

It's because CCA is "complete." The stories that cut off partway only get one Hard stage. It remains unclear if they'll get more when finished, or if they'll be like the extra SEED chapter and just be treated as a separate story with its own single Hard stage.

Something weird happened behind the scenes about Destiny. The initial roadmap said we’d get Destiny without specifying that it was part one only, and showed Destiny SSR as a dev unit which suggested getting to at least episode 35. Destiny was also supposed to come out after Thunderbolt.

Then Destiny comes out before Thunderbolt, but only through 34. Also CCA drops at the same time despite not being in the initial roadmap. Destiny and Legend are at the end of the dev tree and are tacked on to the hard mode, but they don’t appear in the story — which isn’t how 00, IBO, or WFM are treating their “S2” units.

So what the fuck happened? Was there a problem with Thunderbolt? A problem with the back half of Destiny? A snap decision to drop CCA right after G-Qux? Just splitting Destiny up for $$$? Meta-commentary on Destiny’s fucked-up production?

I think it's a combo between Seed making big money, the game itself not exactly having a ton to do for the more hardcore players and GQuuuuuuX making Beyond the Time popular, hence Destiny being pushed forwards, and CCA being thrown in without any previous fanfare. Generally speaking gacha units are better, but a lot of the free ones can become comparable or at least runnable by using the SP coins to buff them.

The featured banners that rotate in and out with brand-new units will always have all the non-limited URs on the banner at the non-raised chance to roll. So the Hi-Nu banner up right now has Scirocco and the O, the Build Strike and Reiji, etc. on there, but not Kira, Kamille, or Duo.

Note that these newer non-featured URs are NOT on the standard banner that gacha tickets can be used on, that only has the launch UR roster.
