This happens to be the show I'm currently watching, and expect to finish it tonight. It's been just a consistent 6/10 okay show, no highs or lows to it at all.
And I still don't know where Gram's mech came from

This was my impression as well. It's not bad, but it has very little lasting impact. You'd think there'd be more with how unique the setting is (at least on paper).
