What are some good grounded mech media?
Anonymous No.23367909
A youtube video of a front end loader. Or the rigged Kuratas duel.
Anime mecha is unfortunately pure fantasy.

i see my shilling has actually paid off...
HAVWC is allegedly a miyatake design. he's usually on the more conventional end of studio nue so it was sorta surprising to see him take another shot at a transforming gimmick in this kind of show

I'm not the OP, but as an American, we're very practical people. I think Japs do shit because it's cute. Like western mechs act as tanks, while Jap mechs act as robot samurais. One could actually be used in war, the other is literally designed to sell toys to children back in the 1980's.

>bipedal tanks

Even regular tanks can barely be used in war. Why not give them jetpacks and full range of movement so they can actually do things before the RPG explodes them

small quadrupedal.
put the cockpit low in the belly where it's best protected.
big gun turret on top, missiles and 50cals mounted elsewhere.
mount sensors on top or extendable telescopic poles that can poke out from cover without exposing the main body.
