I honestly expect it to be on all of the west except of the US. Western entertainment is on a massive decline which is why Japan is dominating even harder on all fronts now, superhero fans will probably latch on to Zeztz because they've been starving for some actually good super hero media and Kamen Rider is a popular enough IP in Japan that normalfags from the west have heard hearsay or have at least experience western media referencing it. Honestly this might give an indirect push in popularity to Ultraman and Garo toom

I think it's also noticeable because Ultraman hasn't radically changed the visual style of the show but Zeztz from right out of the gate has a design that is extremely different and based on the insiders it apparently is being done specifically to try and increase Western appeal.
Zeztz being the first Rider to get international streaming would be one thing, Zeztz having a deliberate "American comic book" design would be another, it's combining the two that is potentially signaling that Rider wants to change its identity specifically for a "Western market" and specifically for the "MCU audience".

I just don't know if it's even gonna work. I'm not sure everyone else's story in getting into Rider, but I was a Gaim-baby who watched the original (or everything subtitled at the time) in preparation since I was a big Urobuchi fan. And then from there I fell in love with the series and watched most of the non-TVN subs. Pre 2019 anime fans I think have a decent chance of getting into Rider, but if they're trying to capitalize on modern anime fans I think most are just gonna disregard it as Power Ranger knock off shit and cringe, and I can't imagine modern day American kids having the patience to watch a show with subtitles and not just browse tiktok all day.

Who knows, I do like the design and while I do enjoy Gavv a change of pace isn't always the worst, though I do fear for the worst.

The only thing I don't like is that the belt is more lumpy than I was expecting, it looks good from the front but from the side it looks extremely off, specially since the suit actor is buffier than usual and sadly due the size of the capsems I assume that the other faceplates won't fix this issue nor will Yezz's belt.

Copyright issues. Revising old copyrights is way more trouble than it's worth especially when you have dozens or hundreds of them. Much easier to keep them the way they are. Also, the use of the term "Kamen" serves as good point of separation between Heisei Phase 2 and the rest of the series.

Also, the Wang brothers developing Dragon Knight at the time, pushed for the series to be called "Kamen Rider" because that's what they knew it as growing up.

And according to this video, Dragon Knight's use of the phrase "Kamen Rider" to transform; inspired Decade's staff to use the phrase "KamenRide" for the Decadriver. Which would also explain why it's "KamenRide" and not "MaskedRide".

I've been watching Ryuki, I'm about 30 episodes in and really can't figure out one thing: Why is the plot so dark and serious, with so much death and anguish, when the goofball comedy episodes they throw every now and then are God-Tier?
It looks like the cast is more suited and has way more fun doing them. Even Ren's actor, who's normally very stiff and awkward, kinda works in them!

Not really, the helmet is a bike helmet with a painted texture and extended compound eyes like Revi. If anything the suit reminds me as a mix of Ultraman due to the belt in torso being kinda like a timer and Gozyuger due to the texture of the undersuit.

I'm afraid it won't, but I've stuck on this much, I might as well see it through to the end. Why would they present the idea that there's 13 riders? I mean, I get it, it's Chinese Zodiac plus Kanzaki. But they've introduced only 8 so far. I feel, given that it's supposed to be a death match, they should've ditched the regular monsters and just do Rider fights all the way, where people would die more often and the stakes would be higher. Right now there's been way too many times in which the fight just stops and everyone just fucks around for a bit and goes to do something else.

The issue is that the way the show is set up it's hard to even think off-screen deaths happened. Shinji's predecessor seemed to die due to letting his monster go hungry.

We see how Ouja and Zolda get their decks so you can't have them killing off-screen Riders, and Knight although willing to kill hadn't killed anyone yet. Raia was around for a while, but he also obviously wouldn't be killing people.

When we used to get an "all-in-one" form they would shake the design even more or we would get stuff like Putotyra that uses completely different animals from the main form. They also used to shake to color scheme far more. The only thing that would mostly remain the same are usually the visors.

From my understanding more expensive, undersuits are the hardest part to make, so unless they do something like Gotchard where not all of the alternate forms have the same high-quality material I assume they're expending a lot on this and might be why he has less Q1 forms compared to other Reiwa shows.

The main issue even above the show itself, is that the centerpiece of the Rider toyline is the "roleplay belt", and you obviously won't get many boys buying a belt to pretend to be your female lead Rider. It's why most female Riders overall are P-Bandai or (often "and") reuse a driver used by a male Rider, with only the collectible being unique.

This kind of stuff is usually left to the either the chief producer, in this case Yanaka, or PLEX themselves. But since the toyline does feel kind of similar to Gotchard I wouldn't be surprised if Minato was given some authority since this is Yanaka's first season.
