Omega video.
Time to finally finish Arc. Only 5 eps left
>>23380209is the movie worth watching?
Only just watched ep 1 of Omega
Are my standards just low or was the quality of the CGI at the start of the episode really impressive for a toku tv show?

Just watched The Dream Bird. Best ep of Arc so far and just a perfect episode in general. Perfect plot, editing, acting, themes, and holy shit that fight at the end.

Blazar, Arc, and Omega is gonna be a legendary run of shows, mark my words
>>23380710Blazar will be the weakest however
kinda funny how omega feels more like what blazar should have been, at least for me.
>>23380730if we get an actual competant attack team in the second half, then yes
>>23380730In retrospect, doing the concepts of "alien fish out of water Ultraman" and "captain as Ultraman" together in one show might have been too much for 25 episodes.
>>23380805The Blazar and Gento storyline was fine, it never was the problem. It was Emi's storyline that was horribly executed and dragged the whole show down. All the jarring moments in Gento and Blazar's storyline like Firdran's debut and the ending, are from crossing over with Emi's. It might have worked if they drop Emi entirely and wrote those events into one main plot.

I like Sorato. He feels like a very 2000's Heisei protagonist, especially with that hair.
Since it's already episode 2, let me be the first to kickstart schizo theories.
My theory is that Omega is some kind of autonomous exterminator android/robot developed by blueggers. This dream came to me when i noticed his transformation looks digitized and is accompanied by techno music. there's other supporting evidence too here such as Omega seemingly already knowing Kaijus on Earth like he's some kind of database and also how his timer is telling him when an appropriate time to use the beam arrives. There's also this aiming shot like a target lock on which may also be the reason why Omega like to "grab" his prey before a fight. There's also the fact that Omega must eat a lot which could be fuel costs. I'd also like to point out in Ultra form, Omega's spine looks very put of place to the rest of his body.
what do you think /m/ not bad huh?
>>23380593it was alright. couldve bee paced slightly better but the fight felt a little slow but maybe thats just Omega being hungry

>>23380593Pretty alright, I don't really like how the fights are so far though, Omega kinda flops around until he busts out the big special attacks. "Sorato", Koichi, and Ayumi seem like a fun enough trio.

>>23381285Takesue has never been great when it comes to fight scenes
>>23381773I'm gonna write off this ep's fight on Omega being too hungry though, in the first ep he was flipping about and stuff whereas here he just grabbed and slapped Dugrid a bit

An Ultraman series about a gay married couple, how progressive of Tsuburaya!
>>23382915But they aren't married.
>>23381109>implying that doesn't make fujos hornier
When are they going to redeem Zearth?
Omega is a new red head, so clearly they haven't forgotten him, it's time they showed him the respect he's owed.
>>23382947Zearth is a real hero. He doesn't need redemption.
At the end of the first Ultraman, Ide freaks out because he feels worthless, because Ultraman comes and saves the day so it doesn't matter what they do
But the science team say this is wrong and they need to keep trying, but at the end of the episode Ultraman does indeed save the day
So what the hell
Am I missing something?

>>23382905Thanks, I love it
>Kosei literally names Omega "big dude from the sky"
What a moron.
>>23383257also they kill a shitton of monsters before that episode as well
>>23380730I liked Blazar on paper but it just skipped too much important shit. One thing that always stood out to me is his sword gets a whole episode to introduce the material it's made of, then a whole other episode for the creation of the sword itself.
Then the big final form just gets hand waved into existence in the last leg of an unrelated episode, and we never learn shit about it despite it literally being a unified form with a kaiju.
Sorato's actor was well-casted. He really looks like an alien
>>23383798also the fact that despite all the hype, SKARD is one of the most incompetant and useless support teams out there
Its crazy how well Ultraman is doing compared to Sentai when 10 years ago it was the exact opposite
>>23384573Sentai's the only franchise that hasn't faced any long or even short-term cessation of revenue streams. They'll fail to profit, but they'll still make money and keep getting made.
Ultraman had big breaks and faced risks of bankruptcy which required multiple new strategies while dealing with financial black holes like the Sompote lawsuits and aggressive overspending for Heisei Ultra.
Kamen Rider had big breaks in the 70s, 80s, and 90s and faced the chopping block multiple times which required new creative avenues every time as well as being used as part of a producer's power play.
Super Sentai's gotten close, it's been threatened, but it never hit the point where they needed to fully rethink everything from a blank (or near-blank) slate, just barely getting experimental enough for cheap novelty.
>>23380994yeah he wouldn't look out of place in the Blade OP
>>23384573>>23384649I'm not gonna complain about Tsuburaya's struggles resulting in them actually making efforts to export their shit beyond the bare minimum unlike Toei

>>23385282Technically, it's only applied in China. Rest of the world, still following US Supreme decisions.
>>23385206It's his speculation btw, and based on how 6 Ultra Bros is omitted from 60th marketing.
>copyright battle between TsuPro vs UMCNo. His speculation is that it's due to old lawsuits with Chaiyo. UMC did lose their recent ones but they can still bring out Chaiyo's old wins, making any crossover with the Showa 6 bros risky
>>23385338>it's only applied in ChinaThat's the biggest overseas market and the second biggest market overall for Ultraman
>>23385282nah, SCLA and TsuPro are trying to crack down but until there's a definite decision by the Chinese court saying that TsuPro are the rights holders, Chaiyo/UMC can easily file copyright claims in order to drag TsuPro down
>>23385450Also the international shareholders are going to be suspicious as to why TsuPro is playing softball with them, with full knowledge of how important the IPs are. What was his fucking problem
>>23391026they already modified it to be Chandler for Decker
>>23390081I've always heard that Powered's fighting style amounted to light pushes and slow slaps because the monster suits were so fragile they couldn't take anything else.
Kyrieroid 2's a busy guy.
>>23388881I'm the anon you replied to, in a semse X is basically everything I want in an Ultra series. Good episodic episodes, memorable crossover episodes (and bonus for them focusing on Max and Nexus which tends to be neglected). Yeah the car mechas are dumb but it' s the first series where they showcase the NewGen special effects (say what you want about NewGen but effects are where they're the strongest). The cast while generic, wasn't bad and at least had something to do. Hell I see Trigger as basically X but bad, in a sense that they have a large attack team and crossover episodes but X did it better than them. And plus some of my favorite X episodes other than crossovers and important stuff are the standalones which are the types that /m78/ would praise like the Kaiju football ep, the commander's daughter ep, and the documentary.
And my most favorite aspect is what you described already, X is the first one where Ultra communicates with host on a regular basis. X really feels like it's a fusion between the Ultra and the human host. Some seasons like Z did this but sideline the Ultra (to the point where Z has generic lines in the Trigger movie)
>>23391685Being the embodiment of Trigger being just "Tiga, but again"

Episode 4 preview.
After 3 episodes, I can say Omega is not for me, it's pretty bland so far.
The protagonist is boring, I guess they lean too much on the alien angle too far without a good chemistry between a cast with this few members, and I dislike the red mask.
These threads are so fucking dead compared to KR and SS
>>23392798I think Sotaro and Kosei are fun together, so far Ayu is just there as a third wheel though
For me, every episode so far has been good but not great
>>23392820Funny because Kosei clearly has a crush on Ayu. The bit in the forest made Sorato look like the third wheel
Yeah, this show has been incredibly boring so far. Arc also had a generic narrative, but Tsujimoto made up for it with probably the best looking effects of any New-Gen tokusatsu show, let alone Ultraman.
Even though it wasn't perfect I miss the adult cast of Blazar too.
so clearly this means she's the trigaron user right? the cast's clothes aren't color-coded for no reason
>>23392840please shut the fuck up. /krg/ is that way
>>23392859It's annoying me that she has green silhouettes in the OP yet is wearing yellow the entire time
Also I hope so because I wouldn't want this "hide Omega's identity from her" thing to last too long. I guess we'll get about 3 more episodes of "set up" and then the show will settle into whatever it'a supposed to be from there?
>>23392863that sounds about right. the set-up period has a lot of things to get out of the way first before we can really see some experimental or "staff is clearly having fun with freedom" episodes
The fights are so fucking bland. What's with the stupid gorilla pose Omega keeps doing?
>>23392871I'm hoping he just fights goofy because of the amnesia as he didn't fight like this in that CG scene at the beginning but maybe that's just cope
>>23392871We are free of Takesue in the next episode (for a while), so the action will get better.
>>23392863Since Takesue also made R/B, I assume Ayu will know the other two's secret by the middle of the show like Asahi did.
>>23392859She wears a turtle necklace so I assume she's getting the Genbu-themed kaiju knowing the Meteokaiju are based of Four Chinese Gods.
Trigaron's user is still Kosei as seen from the presscon.
Will we get another cgi scene again?
Arc was a fucking waste of time
>>23393252You just don't understand BL, brah.
>>23392820>good but not greatMoreorless my view as well, it's been alright but it isn't blowing me away or anything
People are talking about set up but I wonder how much set up is even needed, seems like a simpler story so far but maybe they're hiding some twists. The goofy himbo & tard wrangler bro protagonists are fun but not enough to carry the show by themselves
I do think it's an ok entry point for new fans so far though, they'll learn about kaiju alongside the cast of this show learning about them it seems
I kinda wanted Kosei to get big like Omega. He'd be inside of/fused with the Kaiju like an Ultra's host.
>you become an ultra host
>he's orange
How would you react?
>>23393410rumor said he's inheriting Omega, although I think it will be him and Sorato becoming one for Omega's final form just like R/B
>>23393425I would be surprised if something like that happens when Omega takes on these forms.
Omega is just kind of boring so far. The cast has almost no chemistry and the MC being an amnesiac retard who almost blows his cover every ten seconds before the friend screams is already stale.
>>23393422you're inside Grigio
>>23393667ignore the /krg/ schizo anon. he's not getting the attention he wants in his main thread of dwelling

>>23393814Maybe Bandai is trying to push this story gimmick.
>>23393814comparing how omega fights at the beginning of ep 1 and how he fights now, i dont think we can even say he knows how to use his powers. especially since he had to be told when to use his beam.
>>23393830I like the fact that Omega is still figuring things out. It reminds me of Kamen Rider Amazon.
I'll be honest with you guys, I'm only watching Omega mainly for the kaiju sidekicks. Seem like a nice change of pace consider how they mainly been using mechs as the sidekicks (except for Arc).

>>23397236>You're in the minority, anonWhy does that matter? This general isn't a hivemind, people are allowed to have their own opinions.
>His amnesia are you talking about Shouma or Sorato?
>>23393425the fujos are gonna love this
Any idea when scans are gonna drop?
>>23397707Probably next week.
>>23397273it's all drafts of Ao3 fics
>>23392798Honestly the protagonist is the least boring thing about this show. I'm enjoying how he underreacts to everything and generally just doesn't give a fuck
Nothing else really stands out so far, it's true. But I'm at least thinking they could do cool things with Omega and Rekiness fighting together, waiting to see how they handle it in general
>>23392763I enjoyed it well enough.
>>23397934That's about how I feel as well. Omega is easily my favorite aspect of the show so far. And it's why I'm hoping they don't entirely cure his amnesia right away.
I haven't watched any ultraman since Z. Whats the current opinion on omega?
>>23399326Itโs good so far
>>23399203I don't really care about his amnesia, his personality is entertaining enough on its own. We haven't really had an Ultra protagonist like this, a guy who is both aloof and an airhead. The closest to him was Gai, who was a top 3 Ultra protagonist for me
Coincidentally Gai was also the last time we had an Ultra taking a human form directly. Good to have that dynamic back
>>23399326We're liking it alright but it feels like it's missing something right now. We've gotten three episodes of very basic "kaiju shows up, and they stop it while introducing a thing" plots. It's serviceable and the protagonist is funny, but there's nothing that's really pushing it over the line into being a truly fantastic show as of right now
>>23399405Geed and Rosso and Blu took human forms. Trigger too.
>>23399540Rosso, Blu and Trigger were all humans first
Forgot about Geed though, yeah
>>23399542Yeah but theyโre wearing the bodies of the Ultras. They ARE them.
>>23399405>>23399409Alright I might pick it up then. How much toy shilling are we getting?
>>23399542>TriggerNo anon. He was never a human, just took a form that looked like one. That's the whole point of the convoluted time travel plot.
>>23399622Well I can tell that transformation scenes have become much briefer since Z. They're still doing new forms but not as many. We have two revealed so far, and if it's like last year, there will be only one more. Ever since Blazar they've been having fewer new forms and instead doing more new kaiju suits
Watch Blazar by the way, it's the best show since the 2000s
>>23379643 (OP)I don't remember why but I ended up reading production notes of Ultraman Nexus last year and ultimately decided to watch it now, this is my first Ultraman show since prior the only thing I had seen were the SSSS anime trilogy by Hasegawa and a single episode of Blazar. I'm aware that this isn't exactly the best place to start Ultraman since it isn't representative of what Ultraman actually is due to its production issues, basically making it something close to Kamen Rider Hibiki.
Even though I thought the first 2 episodes were kind of shit, from episode 3 onward the show hooked me and I ended up watching up to episode 17 in a single day. The only things I don't like so far is Komon being kind of a dumbass at times, the show reusing Kaiju suits way too much due to budget issues, the sociopathic vice-captain who I started to like since they properly explained why she's the way she is but then suddenly starts stirring Komon to a bad path making me dislike her again and the other male member of the team who hasn't done much relevant comoared to the 2 I just mentioned, Shiori and the commander.
I was wondering a few things about the franchise
>Are the suits in Ultraman designed by Bandai like how Toei Toku have theirs designed by Bandai's division PLEX?>Do Ultraman usually have glowies be part of the main cast or is that an unique thing to Nexus?>Is the standard for Ultraman for the protagonist to be the commander like Blazar or just a soldier from the military?>Are evil Ultraman are constant thing like in Nexus? I know of Belial but I was wondering if this a recurring trope?>Are Meta Field common in Ultraman? When I usually see pics from other shows they're usually on Earth, I'm aware that the Meta Field were used on a movie prior to Nexus but I was wondering if they're supposed to be standard>Do things like Mirrorman and Redman release alongside a mainline Ultraman or did they take that TV slot?
>>23400009Rather than answering, i think it's easier if you answer those questions yourself by watching either Ultraman '66 or Seven to get a sense of the normal "Ultraman Formula". '66 is a short, easy watch but Seven is closer to the "formula".
"Formula" is in quote marks since they kept changing the premise new gen onward, like how Orb, R/B and Geed aren't focused on the Science Patrol/defense team.
>>23400093Thank you, I'll probably watch those next but I'm still wondering sbout
>Are the suits in Ultraman designed by Bandai like how Toei Toku have theirs designed by Bandai's division PLEX?>Do things like Mirrorman and Redman release alongside a mainline Ultraman or did they take that TV slot?since watching those shows won't answer me that
>>23400109>>Are the suits in Ultraman designed by Bandai like how Toei Toku have theirs designed by Bandai's division PLEX?No, Tsuburaya has people doing the design work themselves if I'm not wrong.
>>Do things like Mirrorman and Redman release alongside a mainline Ultraman or did they take that TV slot? Not sure
>>23400109nvm I just found out that they're designed by designers from Tsubaraya and that these other Tsubaraya properties released in different channels so they did air simulationously to other Ultraman shows. I don't know why I wasn't able to find that earlier.
Thanks a lot man. I'll probably watch Ultra Q after Nexus since it seems interesting and I assume segues well into 66.
>>23400109>Redman release alongside a mainline Ultraman or did they take that TV slot?redman was a goofy thing in a variety show
>>23399542Gai was also human first, he evolved into Orb.
Forgot if they ever explained which one born first between Riku or Geed.
>>23400556Gai was always an alien
>August 2 (Episode 5)
>Sorato heads to a rural town alone to deliver a package that Kousei forgot to send. There, Sorato meets a girl who calls a giant snake that eats iron "Mikoto."
>August 9 (Episode 6)
>A monster appears at a construction site deep in the mountains. However, the monster suddenly dies for some reason. Ayumu and her friends go to investigate, but are chased by the same kind of monster and end up stranded.
>>23400556>Forgot if they ever explained which one born first between Riku or Geed. But Riku IS Geed. They are one and the same.
Now my questions are:
>Is Geed a clone or a test tube baby from Belial's jizz? Their base forms are very similar but not exactly the same.>Why exactly can't Geed access his base form? I think Kei mentioned something about him being defective or designed that way.>Do Geed's forms other than primitive imply that some Reionics genetic material found its way into Geed? Because of the eyes I mean. Only Primitive uses a Belial capsule. I mean the IRL reason is obvious.

Takesue interview from Figure-Oh
https://tieba.baidu.com/p/9825774472
โโPlease start with the story of how the project came about.
>Takesue: We really started from scratch. Tsuburaya gave us a project proposal. It said things like "A story about Ultraman and humans teaming up" and "He'll use capsule monsters."
โโSo did the main points of the proposal remain?
>Takesue: The concept was retained, but the world view and setting are completely different. To give you a simple example, the proposal also said "The user of the capsule monster is Ultraman."
โโSo, was it originally envisioned as a relationship between (UltraSeven) Moroboshi and the capsule monsters?
>Takesue: Yes. We gradually sorted out these parts and finally integrated them into what we have now. While retaining the main points of the proposal, what we wanted to do this time was to explore the question of "Why does Ultraman protect the Earth?" Many years have passed since I became the second assistant director of Cosmos, but this question has always been on my mind. It's not that there have been works that have explored this question, but I always feel that the answer is specious, isn't it? So this time I want to dig deeper into it myself. For example, when Ultraman possesses a human, it is understandable that the possessed person (host) protects the Earth because it is his home planet. But why would Ultraman himself help humans? This is hard to imagine. On the other hand, the same is true when Ultraman and the host are one. Seven is on Earth in the form of Moroboshi, but why does he risk his life to protect humans from invaders? This question has never been eliminated. Therefore, for many years, I have been thinking that one day I would try to depict a story with this theme. I know that this is a theme that has no standard answer, but I hope to convey the idea that "there is such a thought" through the work.
(1)
>>23400736--The world view is built on this basis, right?
>Takesue: We have been working on youth themes that depict the growth of young people for a long time, and we have also done similar stories in R/B and Decker, where I was the main director, so this time I suggested to producer Murayama whether we could try a slightly different theme. After that, we asked the writing team (Toshizo Nemoto and Junichiro Ashiki) who had worked with us in Decker to build the world view and setting around this theme, and that was the whole process.โโHow about the image design of Omega?
>Takesue: Personally, I wanted to design it to be an image that would "surprise" people. I pursued impact (laughs). Although there is a red-faced Ultraman, it is quite rare, isn't it? The reason why I wanted to use such a visual image is that I hope to express that "he is a different race from previous Ultraman." โโThe color timer is also unique.
>Takesue: It's for the same reason. We wanted it to have a completely different appearance from the previous color timers, completely different. Our design concept is "the universe is contained in the chest." We repeatedly adjusted with the designers and the modeling department, focusing on achieving the appearance effects of "the part that glows changes as the angle changes" and "showing a sense of depth", and finally created this new design.(2)
Interview with Bandai Toy Development Team, Nakano and Omega Main Director, Takesue.
https://tieba.baidu.com/p/9825931329
โโWhat process did you follow to develop this toy?
>Nakano: Initially, it was based on the project written by Tsuburaya, and was discussed by Tsuburaya Production, Main Director Takesue-san and Bandai. For us, the process is to conceive toy ideas within the framework of the proposed world view.
โโThe first thing to discuss was the transformation props?
>Nakano: As a toy development, this is the starting point. The project has already stated that the new Ultraman will use a space boomerang like a slugger. Capsule monsters are also mentioned above, so we interpreted it as a possible Reiwa version of "UltraSeven". Although Seven's transformation props are Ultra Eye, this time we explored the direction: Can the slugger be used as a transformation item? We think that there has never been an Ultraman who uses an slugger to transform in the past, and it is easy to understand as a theme. In the new generation, there are props such as the X terminal used by Ultraman X, but their function is as a power-up item or weapon. Therefore, it was decided to make it the first main transformation item this time.
โโWhat is the concept of transformation item at the toy level?
>Nakano: Blazar Brace (in the previous series) was a mechanic that brought fun by using the light effects of pyroxene to create animations, and Arc Riser (in the previous series) was a toy that emphasized the feeling of playing with it over and over again. Therefore, this time, Slugger was developed based on the concept of "Snap! Transform!". This is not only the core mechanic of the product, but also differentiates it from the props in recent years because it is not repeated. When deciding the specifications of the transformation item, it is very important to focus on what to create impact.
(1)
>>23400750--What is the highlight of the toy?
>Nakano: It can be transformed with one click after opening, but the item are not just opened. The "branch" part will greatly change the outline when it is opened in two sections. This is the designer's obsession, which is to show a huge sense of change. Take the recent series, the GUTS Spark Lens has received very good reviews because it can be played in two modes: "transformation item" and "team member gun". We think it is this feature of being able to play with two elements that has won praise at the toy level. This time, we also adopted a similar concept, making it playable in two modes: "transformation mode" and "slugger mode". In the slugger mode, the slugger sound effect of "clang! clang!" is emitted.โโWhy didn't the shape of the transformation prop be designed to be removed from Omega's head?
>Nakano: We also considered designing the transformation prop to be the same shape as when it is removed from Omega's head. However, considering that there will be scenes of throwing attacks like Seven in special effects scenes, there are opinions that it is difficult to perform. In terms of product strategy, we also think that the positioning of "weapons" will be easier to understand through the Rekiness Sword and Trigaron Claw. Therefore, the "slugger mode" of the toy is performed as a item that appears during the transformation and armor change moments in the play. Of course, it will emit the same slugger sound effect in the seriee, so players can play with the sound effect.(2)
>>23400754โโIf it is designed to be removed from Omega's head, will there be technical problems such as adding sound effects or light-emitting mechanisms?
>Nakano: The built-in mechanism is not technically difficult. The reason for making this decision is also considered the safety of the toy. The transformation items used in this are made of a lot of precision parts, and if they are swung like weapons, it would be difficult to meet safety standards. Considering safety, soft parts are needed, and the price will continue to rise as the layers are stacked. Therefore, as a toy, we are advancing it with the premise that "the main feature is the transformation items."--What about the price? The depreciation of the yen has also had a great impact. It seems that the overall price of toys has been rising in recent years.
>Nakano: Yes. Due to the increase in costs such as material costs and labor costs, product prices have indeed become higher. Considering this situation, Omega's toy development is based on the goal of "providing the lowest price possible without compromising the play value." Blazar's previous transformation items were sold at a price of 5,500 yen (excluding tax), so this time we wanted to lower the price as much as possible. Therefore, we also paid attention to not blindly piling up the functions we wanted, but to determine the characteristics of each item and highlight them.--What about the linkage item (Omega Meteor)?
>Nakano: While developing the product this time, we also worked hard on the sales method and product planning strategy. With this in mind, we thought it would be better to have linkage items that can be purchased at a low price. We attach great importance to letting players get in touch with linkage items first, so that they can become interested in transformation items. We initially discussed the direction of canceling linkage items, but this time we valued their role as a contact point and finally decided to introduce them.(3)
>>23400755โโWhat about the Omega Slugger as a transformation item?
>Takesue: This time, our opinions were reflected in the concept stage of the item. It was decided smoothly that the transformation item was called the slugger. Of course, there were also some adjustments after discussing with the toy team.โโWhat are the specific parts?
>Takesue: The "Omega Slugger" as a transformation item and the "Omega Slugger" that Omega removes from its head and uses as a weapon are actually different in shape. But this time, the design is that the attack sound effects of the "weapon version" of the slugger can be emitted from the "toy version" of the slugger. In the past, the transformation item was usually used as a weapon directly in its original form, but this time it is different. For example, there is a transformation item called the Z Riser. After Z transforms, he also fights with something of that shape (the Z Riser itself), right? This time it is not like that. After transforming, he fights with the Omega Slugger removed from Omega's head (as a weapon), and its attack sound effects are emitted by the "toy version" of the Omega Slugger.โโI see.
>Takesue: When children get the transformation item, they also play with it as a weapon. If the sound of the slugger attack comes out of it, they will think that they are playing with the Omega slugger after the transformation (taken off the head of Omega and used). We think that children will interpret it that way.--Is this an attempt to break the stereotype that "the shape must be the same"?
>Takesue: I don't have such an exaggerated intention (laughs), but I just expect that children will understand it that way. We will have to wait until the show starts to know what the specific reaction will be, but we are not too worried. We did it because we have a chance of winning.(4)
--What about the Omega Meteor?
>Takesue: We also discussed that the small accessories used for the transformation item should be made into a small size that can be sold as a capsule toy. To put it bluntly, we just want to have more toys and hope that they will sell well (laughs). If the goods sell well, the work itself will be more lively.
--It's surprising that you are so actively involved in the item this time.
>Takesue: I used to have a resistance to these item. I always thought, "Does this really fit the world view?" and so on. However, in recent years, the appearance of such item has become more story-oriented. So I thought, (prop design, etc.) Itโs good to fit the world view, but the number of linkage item seems to be decreasing? So letโs design something that can be released in large quantities and fit the world view of the story. Therefore, the concept of the item is decided together with the toy team, and the design and details are left to them.
โโSo Omega Meteor was born.
>Takesue: Because we have been working on it for a long time, we will start to think to some extent that "it would be more fun if the toy has such functions." For example, the gameplay of Arc's Givas was even proposed by us (laughs). It was originally planned to be released as an action figure with sound effects like Earth Garon and Terraphaser. The ability to extend an anchor chain from the back to grab the enemy and drag it was aimed at the fun of the toy. Although (Givas) was not made into an action figure in the end, it was released as a sofubi.

>>23400716>Is Geed a clone or a test tube baby from Belial's jizz?Geed/Riku is a test tube baby created using Belial's DNA (which we know now as being the Devil Splinters). To be specific, Riku (as well as his failed prototype brothers from Ultra Heroes Expo 2018) were created using the Ultra DNA of Belial whilst his brother Nix Kanaya from Another Gene was created using the Reionics DNA of Belial.
>Why exactly can't Geed access his base form? The Super Complete Works states that Riku is unable to transform into his base form as an inherent safety measure set up by Fukuide in case Riku rebelled against his predestined purpose so that he's forced to only be able to transform using the Ultra Capsules (and now the Z Riser). Although I presume now that Hikari could probably edit Riku's DNA to be able to access his base form normally without this feature.
>Do Geed's forms other than primitive imply that some Reionics genetic material found its way into Geed? Because of the eyes I mean. Only Primitive uses a Belial capsule. I mean the IRL reason is obvious.Geed's eyes are inherently part of Belial's DNA, they're not something that was acquired because of Belial being fused with Reiblood. And in any case, it's been confirmed that Geed only took the Ultra DNA of Belial compared to his brother Nix who is a Reionics.
