Even now, visibility in tokusatsu suits is a shit show. Kamen Riders and monsters have it the worst, there was a behind the scenes video put out for Decade that showed even the best suits have the worst visibility, and that suit actors usually can't see more than a sliver in front of them. You'd think Sentai suit would have it easier, but a lot of the time those black visors aren't actually as see through as you'd think. The actors have to learn their ques perfectly, and for stunts they use stunt suits that have completely different visor, sometimes still using big holes for visibility, and then they'll just edit it out as best they can in post so the audience doesn't notice.

Probably not, but it was one of the net movies put out to promote All Riders vs Dai-Shocker, they were called All Riders Super Spin-off. There's a short where they discuss Decade's mask, both in-universe lore and real world suit acting. These net movies also have interviews with real suit actors like Eitoku and Takaiwa Seiji, and they're really interesting.

Yeah Hammy stays annoying, also LaPuta and Espada end up being the most shafted characters from this show.
But Naga does get a considerable amount of focus during the second half. He's the most developed character alongside Stinger and Champ. All that said around episode 12 iirc the show takes a big dip in quality so brace yourself.

The fact that a single mediocre season like Ninninger managed to put the sales of the whole franchise in jeopardy proves that it isn't a safe enough tactic and that they were only selling well up to that point thanks to its legacy.
They need to do more Mecha with articulation just like Donbrothers which was the first time sales improved since Kyuranger but also give the gimmick items some good interactivity with both the changer and the mecha like Boonboomger which also had a sales boost.

Part of the issue is that all the "multiple Ranger" stuff was done mainly with Power Rangers in mind. The series was designed consulting with Bandai America for their preferences. Sentai at the time hadn't been big in pushing action figure sales for years, while it was a big thing in Bandai's Power Rangers toyline, often including figure-only variants of the Rangers. But then Bandai America sold their Power Rangers toy license before getting to Kyuranger so it was all pointless in the end, especially since Hasbro didn't push action figures nearly as much, so the large number of Rangers was just a problem to them.

Isn't the main issue that Sentai toylines suck compared to Rider and Ultraman, and Ninninger releasing specially during the Yokai Watch's peak ended up being a wake up call to consumers that their toylines aren't worth it? Which is why even though the sales improved and went past the minimum "good sales" mark it still resulted on the producer getting demoted, since he went over budget on Q1?
I'm genuinely asking by the way, all of the paragraph above are based on assumptions, I always found it weird that Mochizuki got demoted after his first season despite Kyuranger allegedly being popular with Otaku unlike Ghost which had a poor reception overall in spite of its high sales. Huh? Mochizuki got to do Revice afterwards, the 50th anniversary Rider. So, his stint in Kyuranger seemed to be conidered successful internally at that point.

It was likely due to the behind the scenes mess in Revice's production (Toei even got sued for labor standards) that Mochizuki got demoted.

He went back to being assistant producer for Omori immediately after Kyuranger, and after Revice he got transferred into doing stage plays then to an being assiant producer again. With King-Ohger he wasn't a sub producer for the first half, rather him and Minato were vice producers for the pre-production but both got removed from the project since Mochizuki had just gotten demoted and Toei wanted Minato to do the next Rider season, in this case Gotchard. A sub producer doesn't have much creative say besides helping with casting and catering while a vice producer gets to do stuff like Matsuura bringing a new writer for Gotchard, Takijima coming up with the drug dealer angle in Gavv or Mochizuki and Minato coming up with 4 countries of King-Ohger.

Not striking gold prior to Ninninger is also a factor. Feels like after 2013 japans boys toys had so much competition, specially from Takara. Ultra had just started to push back into the children’s mind.
But Tega sword and boonboom cars both proved there’s some want by little boys for the franchise still. I would imagine the best bet is changer robo again with little animals that work like boonboom cars, maybe those little animals can dual gattai like skymage.

Literally got the producer demoted and failed miserably in sales. The 6 main rangers are really likeable, so are the 6 main rangers in Zyuohger and the 7 main rangers in Zenkaiger but Komura always considerably shafts a portion of the team, way more than other writers.
The zyuman which was the time she balanced the dynamics the best all feel like Yamato's pets rather than proper team members, the Patranger get considerably less focus than the Lupinrangers and the Kikanoids feel more like Buddyroids than actual proper rangers.

What is the reason it continues to be loved across generations? Just before the release of the movie "Kamen Rider Gavv & Number One Sentai Gozyuger W Hero Summer Movie 2025" (premiering on the 25th), we interviewed Toei's legendary producer and head of the Character Strategy Department, Shinichiro Shirakura (59). He explained the three key points that transformed the series into a long-running franchise—motifs, the sixth warrior, and color-coding—along with insights about its future.

The legend, who has produced many Super Sentai works, spoke frankly from the start:

"Though it sounds harsh, historically speaking, why Super Sentai became a long-running series is a result in hindsight. The start of 'Gorenger' was an accident. No one intended to create this kind of show. So basically, I think it continued out of inertia."

It was April 1975. The broadcasting station for the "Kamen Rider" series changed, and a new program was needed. They revived a shelved plan featuring five riders and created the new hero show "Himitsu Sentai Gorenger." Though an emergency setup, it became a big hit.

"It started from something no one had planned, so there are many illogical things. It's not meticulously planned. It's not something thought out by human brains—it somehow just happened. I feel that’s part of its charm."

When unraveling the secret of its popularity, three points emerged. The work considered to have established the "format that continues to this day" is "Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger" (1992). One reform was that "the motif became clear."

"Red often has an image of hot-bloodedness, and blue is cool, but that’s not necessarily the correct answer. It’s a culture created by a kind of Super Sentai. I repeatedly think that it might not align with the original image of those colors."

Though new works are created every year, he laughed, saying the production is "bicycle operation, for better or worse." For a long time, they broadcast new works while developing plans for the following year in parallel. In 2023, they established the Character Strategy Department. They have started to make the future more transparent and have added planning and investment structure to filming, aiming to create a more rewarding workplace.
