This. Huge missed opportunity not bringing back the old cast for SEED Freedom even the last Eva Rebuild film brought back the old cast after replacing them for the Netflix dub.

It sounds like they are making preparations to produce a loosely adapted Frozen Teardrop animation similar to how Gundam NT is based on Operation Phoenix Hunt but only follows the basic plot points. The message from the JP voice actor Midorikawa for Heero during the panel is hinting that it will depend on how well the 30th anniversary projects perform which is why he is encouraging fans to make noise. There is upcoming 30th stuff that hasn't been announced yet maybe new merchandise from this manga, so perhaps when the new manga ends we’ll get something for Wing 35th after the Live Action movie.

That's literally what Frozen Teardrop was from the ground up, a sequel novel series made with intentions to animated later, the only problem was that unlike Unicorn it was poorly recieved and they essentially tried to downplay elements connecting to it as a result. The fact that its been over a decade and we still know what the main Gundams look like says a lot. I doubt they have serious intentions to adapt it given everything that's on their plate now but the fact that Wing is still getting pushed is a sign that they'll scrap to the bottom of the barrel of they have to.

The reason you have TWO boy bands in SEED (the Le Creuset Team and the Druggies) are because they looked at why Wing (but not X and Turn A) drew in the fujos and kids who grew up on PR/SS and realized, "Oh, it's that."
